About this sitter
Hi. We are Bruce and Janie. We have been married for 15 years (second for both of us and got it right this time!). We run a print consultancy and therefore can work from wherever we are.....which also means we are "home" a lot of the time for the animals. We have lots of experience and five star reviews from all the lovely people we have sat for.
Why they want to house sit
Having lost our beloved dog Bear who we rescued and had for 17 wonderful years, and also our poorly cat who we also rescued but was so damaged that we only had him for about a year, we are rather liking the freedom to travel whilst also getting the chance to get to know and love other peoples precious pets

Bruce and Janie are absolutely wonderful
Bruce and Janie are absolutely wonderful. Sadly our lovely pooch passed away shortly before they were due to sit, but they still came and looked after the house while we were away as they are hoping to move to the area nearer to family and wanted to explore. We had great comms and they left the house spotless, having got the washing on and leaving us a lovely meal, flowers and a bottle of bubbles to return home too. I can highly recommend :-)

Great housesitters
Janie and Bruce were great housesitters. The communication with them before and during the sit was good - we decided it was less stressful for the dog to handover virtually and leave the key which worked well (although lessons learnt for me to add extra details to the welcome pack!). Waffles was well looked after and we came back to a clean and tidy house, thank you!

Just fabulous
We had the wonderful Bruce and Janie back to sit for us for 3 weeks. As usual they were just fabulous. The house was spotless when we returned. When our greyhound saw them as they arrived he went berserk with excitement, which was just lovely to see and very reassuring for us. Would recommend every time. Thanks so much.

Communications were excellent
Janie And Bruce looked after our dog for a week whilst we were away. Their communications were excellent and we felt very confident leaving our house and our furry friend in their hands. They even watered our garden for us! Otto clearly had a lovely week with them and we very much hope that they will come and sit for us again at.

Nothing was too much trouble.
Janie and Bruce were fabulous house sitters! Louis was a bit big to fit in their car but they were able to take him on lots of walks locally on foot. Janie was very communicative and nothing was too much trouble. They left our house in immaculate condition and even left us the most delicious lasagne when we got back!! Can highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to use again!

Best sitters you could wish for
Bruce and Janie sat for us again a couple of weeks ago. they simply are the best sitters you could wish for. They clearly adore all our furry family, and we get lovely updates with videos and photos. Our neighbours and other "doggy" friends tell us how great they were when they bump into them in the park walking our greyhound. Its wonderful to get this feedback and I would recommend Bruce and Janie to anyone wanting a trustworthy and relaible pair of sitters. My home is always spotless when I get back, with a lovely welcome home meal made by Janie which is always much appreciated, although my husband now expects me to up my culinary game!!! Couldn't wish for better people to look after your home and pets. Thanks both xx

Many thanks to the wonderful Bruce and Janie for looking affter our home and pets. It's not the first time they have visited us, and we always go back to them if they are free, as they are the perfect home sitters. Janie leaves the home just as you would want to find it and we get lovely photo updates of our pets enjoying themselves. Bruce even managed to get our one-eyed cat to eat from his hand, which is a miracle as this soul is frightenend of his own shadow! I would definitely recommend them - couldn't ask for more!

Janie and Bruce were amazing pet sitters. I knew from their early communication that they would be a great fit for us. They were keen to communicate in person which was much the best way of agreeing the sit. Janie and Bruce were flexible and accomodating as we were making arrangements. They even took in their stride, the fact that we were unexpectedly plunged into our daughter's wedding arrangements the night before we left and only minutes after they'd arrived themselves. From the moment we met them it was clear that they have a natural affinity with animals. Janie quickly had our sometimes fiesty rabbit snuggling up to her and sitting quietly to be stroked. Bruce was suitably impressed by Deilah's tricks with nuggets and Delilah was clearly at home with them before we left. Whilst we were away Janie sent regular updates and was quick to clarify anything of which she was uncertain. Coming home, Delilah had clearly hardly missed us at all! Perfect. I would highly recommend them and hope we can persuade them to sit for us again.

Janie and Bruce were wonderful looking after Bear. Janie communicated with me the whole time I was away with photos etc. they work from home so bear had company all day. Janie communicated v well with me before the stay and I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Invited them back
Bruce and Janie sat for us over the last 2 weeks. I can honestly say I felt so comfortable and happy leaving our animals in their care. Janie went through everything with me before we left - they even popped in to visit in their own time a few weeks prior, just to meet the furry team! We had lovely updates whilst we were away - it was obviously the pets were totally happy and relaxed, and this made our holiday even better knowing everthing was fine at home. Janie left the house spotless for me on my return. All bedlinen washed and we had a lovely welcome surprise of fresh flowers, and homemade food left in the fridge. Problem was - husband was so taken with Janie's cooking I am now having to up my game!!!! Joking aside, they were brilliant. Finn the greyhound loved them both. He had a problem with his dewclaw whilst we were away, and they cleaned the carpets for me and I couldn't even spot there had been a problem. They took him to his favourite haunts and all our local neighbours commented to me what terrific sitters they were as they had met them in our local park. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. We have already invited them back. I would recommend Bruce and Janie in a heartbeat.

This was the second time Janie and Bruce had house and dog sat for us. As previously they arrived as arranged. After speaking with Janie several times before the sit, they arrived on time, the dogs were very pleased to see them, obviously remembering the previous sit. Janie kept in touch through the sit even though it was a short time. When we returned the house was clean and tidy, sheets and towels they had used were washed. The dogs were happy and fed we couldn't have asked for more. This was the second time Janie and Bruce had been to us and we highly recommend them.

Janie and Bruce are a really easy couple to get on with , dogs obviously happy in their company. They arrived promptly at planned time . We were sent regular updates and photos whilst away. The house was immaculate on our return. They stayed on a little longer than planned as our plane was delayed. We had been let down by our original housesitter and Janie and Bruce stepped in at short notice we couldn’t have been happier with the outcome, we would have them back anytime and highly recommend them.
