About this sitter
Heya, I am a native New Yorker, moving around the States at the moment, looking for my forever home.
I generally like to spend time with cats (kittens are hard for me because of attachment), and small dogs under 45lbs.
I am working on my first book so I like to be able to do that either in the home or somewhere nearby. Wifi is important to me, as is public transportation. I also like to make myself simple meals, so access to the kitchen and good grocery options also matters.
Why they want to house sit
I want to housesit as a way to visit cities in the States without being alone. I have spent several of the last 8 years abroad and have discovered that I really don't enjoy living alone. I can do it for a month or so, but really I prefer to live with others. I also enjoy having something to take care of...it makes me feel human.
Their experience
I am beginning with housesitting. As I type this I am on my second cat-sit, on a second visit for the same household, and have been invited back for a third.
Previously I had a similar arrangement out in the San Francisco Bay Area, cat-sitting a few times for the same household.
After this current sit I will do a short cat-sit in my hometown but I prefer to sit for a minimum of two weeks at a time.
What can they bring to the assignment
I will dote on your pet! I am responsible. I wont have any unexpected guests, I will keep your place clean. I understand that inviting someone into your home requires a lot of trust and I do all that I can to respect that.

Eva was amazing, from meeting her in advance of the house-sit to the final day. She is a great communicator, a big animal lover, and extremely committed to the sit. And a lovely person! We ran into a major issue while I was away for a week, with my cat Jacques suddenly needing to go to the vet and Eva had to deal with that. That has never happened before and I have to say, she was so helpful and it all worked out. My place was spotless when I arrived and Jacques is now back to good health. I highly recommend Eva for your house/cat/dog/plant-sit!!
