Hello,
I was born and raised in Canada (Quebec City), but have been living in England (London or Surrey) for over 20 years now. I've always had a curious mind to learn more and explore more. After a successful career in the corporate world, I am now working as an independent consultant and take on assignments that are flexible and part-time as I am focusing on writing my first novel. I can write from anywhere, allowing me to offer my services to look after your house and pets while you are away. I am a proud house owner and maintain it well. I renovated two houses in the past so can do DIY if necessary.

I am flexible with dates and locations, but preferably in Europe. I can do short-term or long-term assignments (up to three months) with small pets or without. I am new to this, but am looking forward to many house sitting experiences: getting acquainted with you, your pets and house, and looking after them as if they were my own so that you can have peace of mine while you are away. I am happy to keep in contact during the assignment (what's app messages/pictures etc) and perhaps after that too.

I enjoy keeping fit and healthy (non-smoker). I walk every day for at least an hour so walking dogs would keep me company! I practice Body Balance during the week (from home with my yoga mat and laptop). I am a tennis player and fair-weather road cyclist. I also enjoy being by the sea and some water sports.

I provided a link to my Ltd company in the Miscellaneous section. It lists me as the sole Director, and my identity was verified when I set up my company. I have no criminal record and can provide a reference upon request; a friend who picked me as her housemate when she needed one. I lived with her for two years and she can vouch for my caring, organised and tidy way of living.

Why they want to house sit

I'd like to help you and your family look after your small pets and house while you are away. I am confident I could also look after small and medium dogs. I'd like to make your life easier. I do not have pets of my own at the moment, but I looked after several cats whilst growing up. When I recently visited my sister in Calgary, I enjoyed playing 'hide and seek' with their cat Stella and my niece commented on how much I loved their cat!

In exchange for my services, I will relish being in a different place to write my novel. There is nothing like being away from your own domestic life to get the words flowing!

Their experience

I am new to this, but I looked after small pets (cats, birds, fish, hamsters) as a child and still enjoy their company. I think I could look after small/medium dogs. My hairdresser's dog recognises me and always 'ask permission' to sit on my lap whenever I go for my hair appointment.

I renovated two houses and I know how to maintain and look after a house. Coming from Canada, I have experienced rough winter conditions.

My personality. Trustworthy, responsible, reliable, friendly, caring, positive can do attitude, organised, curious. DIY skills. Having grown up in Canada, I have experience of snow and shovelling up...digging a car out of snow if necessary!
