About this sitter

We are a couple from the Netherlands, Thomas and Elin. We are currently travelling in South-East Asia and will go to Australia in the end of April. In the Netherlands I (Elin) am working as a psychiatric nurse and Thomas has just finished his masters degree in Business Informatics. We are a young couple of 23 and 26 years old who like to discover the hidden gems of a country rather than go to al the touristic spots. We both play volleybal, that's how we met. We felt we wanted to see more of the world so we decided to go back packing in Asia and then to go work and travel in Australia. We don't ask for a lot in a house sit since we can live with little, only clear instructions of the expectations and good communication would be nice.

Why they want to house sit

We want to house sit because we think that is the way to fully understand what it would be like to live in Australia without living in a dorm in a hostel every day. It also adds a more cozy feel which would make us feel more at home.

Their experience

We are not yet experienced in house sitting, but have a good understanding of boundaries, responsibility and privacy.

What can they bring to the assignment

I think we are two really responsible adults who would also want to make the homeowners feel like they left their home in good hands. Communication is key.
