My GF Deirdre and I both grew up in the B&B and hospitality industry so we believe this qualifies us to be entrusted to look after a person's home. I have always had pets growing up and Deirdre still has a dog we walk everyday, even in the pouring rain.

Deirdre is an English teacher and I am an Event Manager and recently got my International Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. Once I secure employment in this field, I will begin my Diploma studies.

My hobbies are sea swimming, gym, rock climbing and mountain biking. Deirdre walks, gyms, reads and has travelled a lot.

Why they want to house sit

If we had a place to house sit for even 1 week when we arrive in Australia, it would be of great benefit to us as we find our feet in a new continent.

Their experience

On this site, no. But in our family businesses and work experience then very much so. We have 3 B&B rooms I help clean and service often. Making beds, ironing sheets and cleaning to hotel standard are the main tasks. We also have 5 houses I recently helped renovate and turn into warm homes for Ukranian refuguees. Before this, 2 of these houses, I would clean and service weekly for tribute bands I had booked to play at our Tavern.

Deirdre's family B&B rooms at their family home, one above her own apartment overlooking the local pier and also a wooden cabin situated there. They rent out a further 3 houses on short term basis so she often helps with that.

What can they bring to the assignment

Our positive personalities and ethical nature. We are willing to take on almost any job when we get to Australia so of its a requirement that the owner wants someone a the house 24/7, one of us can take a day job and the other a night job so we are very flexible.
