About this sitter
Hello! I grew up in the US midwest (Iowa) and recently moved to Arizona. I work remotely for an animal protection organization, running education and leadership development programs for young adults. I'm fortunate to be able to travel while I work, and am looking forward to making new furry friends along the way.
Why they want to house sit
Like most people here I suppose, I love animals. I've lived with companion animals my entire life, and have committed my career to animal protection. I've got a 14-year-old tuxedo cat named Jethro (my adopted son) and frequently look after my friends' companions while they're out of town. Taking care of animals is not just something I do, it's part of who I am. When a friend told me about MindMyHouse, I was excited to be able to continue to do so now whenever I'm away from home.
Their experience
I've lived with and looked after companion animals my entire life. I connect with animals of all kinds, and really enjoy taking care of them (and houseplants!). :) I've completed over 20 sits in the past two years (through another platform), looking after dogs, cats, fish, snakes, and birds.

He was amazing
We left Ryan for an entire month with 2 cats, 2 dogs and a sometimes not so easy house to manage and he was amazing. The pets were so well cared for and he frequently sent pictures of them for us. Our older dog has medical needs and a neurological condition and it didn't seem to phase Ryan. Colby seemed so relaxed and well cared for when i got home. The house was clean and just as we left it. Because of Ryan's responsible nature we were able to really relax on our trip knowing everyone and everything was well cared for. We, and our pets, would love the have Ryan back again.

A great sitter
Ryan was a great sitter. He is everything you want in a sitter. He showed up when he said he would, he cares deeply about animals, and he took great care of our dog, Little Bear. He was very responsive to any questions we had, and we returned to a clean house and a happy dog. You can't really ask for anything more in a sitter. I would recommend Ryan to anyone on this platform.

Ryan did a fine job
Ryan did a fine job in sitting for us during a European vacation. He had good communication before during and after the sit. He handled a couple of minor issues at the house with ease. And of course our cat loved him. Hats off to Ryan and we would certainly use him again and recommend him.

Taken care of
I wish we could have met in person prior to the sit. It would have helped with a few things. Overall, the fur kids were good and taken care of. I came home and had to clean my kitchen counter, kitchen items that were used, and pee on the floor. I did receive cute videos but I didn’t receive daily communication. I didn’t get an update on my cat at all. Some of the directions were not followed, but the most important things, like medications, were done correctly. Overall, it was good.

Ryan was great to deal with before, and during the sit, he was responsive, communicative, and friendly. He adjusted around a change in our travel dates and took good care of our home. Very reassuring

Ryan did a great job watching our house and kitties! He was in communication leading up to the dates. He kept me updated on travel as well. I knew my kitties were well taken care of! Ryan provided excellent care
Ryan provided excellent care for our two dogs and our one cat. He balanced needed exercise (walks and hikes) with rest, brushing and pets. He communicated daily with pictures. He let us know how they were doing and recognized our love and want of good care for our girls . He was a pleasure to visit with and his career demonstrates his dedication to animals. We highly recommend Ryan
We recently had Ryan watch over our 10-year old lab-mix and 14-year old cat while we were away for a week, and we couldn't be more pleased. From our initial Zoom interview, it was evident that he was a true animal lover and cared deeply for the well-being of our pets. Throughout the week, Ryan was incredibly attentive to both our dog and cat, making sure they were fed, had plenty of water, and received lots of love and attention. We received regular updates and photos from Ryan, which gave us peace of mind knowing that our pets were in great hands. When we returned home, it was evident Ryan kept our home neat and tidy. It was so comforting to know our pets had received excellent care, and they were happy and relaxed. We highly recommend Ryan to anyone who needs a caring and responsible pet sitter.
