About this sitter

We’re Pieta (24) and Elliot (27), two kind-hearted Kiwis with a shared obsession for dogs, ocean air, and becoming temporary locals wherever we go. Pieta grew up travelling and has lived in Ecuador as well as Spain, while I’ve spent the past year studying arts and culture in Monterrey.

We’re hunting for a house sit where we can:
Love your pets like family (we’ve wrangled herding Collies and hyperactive Dalmatians back home)
Sink roots into your community (markets over resorts, neighbors over nightclubs)
Wake up to saltwater (We are typical islanders and can't get enough of the ocean)

We’ll water your plants with the same care we give to your pets.

Why they want to house sit

House sitting lets us live the way we love most: slowly, deeply, happily. Hotels sterilize experiences; housesits let us actually breathe a place. We love México so much we are looking to trade “visitor” for “neighbor.”

Plus animals ground us. We have both grown up around animals, Pieta has a habit of adopting animals in need from birds and mice to sheep and dogs. Your pets won’t just get fed they’ll get beach walks, bilingual pep talks and friends.

Their experience

In New Zealand we have lots of experience taking care of animals and homes. In the summers between study we have taken care of our respective family homes including pets and gardens.

What can they bring to the assignment
