I really love animals, peacefulness and the outdoors!

I am a non-drinker, non-smoker and very tidy. I absolutely love life! I am very physically active, work out regularly, and adapt well to most environments. (I'm a Fitbit enthusiast and walk about 7-8 miles/day.) Spending time with pets is amazing - especially dogs and cats. As a very compassionate person, any pet in my care will receive lots of careful attention. I also tend to plants, collect mail, and ensure household appliances are taken care of appropriately. I provide regular updates and even photos! I enjoy the calm a loved home provides.

I decompress by going on hikes, kayaking, sailing, tennis, theater, and concerts. I mostly enjoy jazz and classical music. (Need soothing music when working on that academic stuff.) Most people say my outlook on life is very positive and perhaps they are right. I attribute that to a strong faith center and my absolute dedication to the gym! I would like to housesit during the summer months (June-Aug 2021) to complete several deadlines. I am also frequently available at other parts of the year. Why they want to house sit

I am currently a visiting scholar in England, and I am also ordained clergy. I relocated to Edinburgh in August 2021! House sitting is a nice change of scenery and it helps me relax while meeting writing deadlines.

Their experience

I grew up with animals - especially dogs, hamsters and parrots. I also have extensive experience with cats.

I began house sitting rather accidentally. I was starting my doctoral work in theology and ethics in Great Britain when a retired couple offered for me to house sit for them. This was in Edinburgh, Scotland. I also did a house sit in Spokane, WA. Both will provide references, and I have maintained friendships with both families. Please feel free to ask for my references. What can they bring to the assignment

I'm a very honest and reliable person. Because I am an academic, one may presume I have limited experience - but that is not the case. I have a home of my own in California, (and enclosed a photo). I understand how to manage a house and keep it running smoothly. I am very clean and diligent.

With animals, I ensure I meet expectations and use my experience for addressing anything which might need to be addressed. If there are housing issues such as plumbing concerns, etc., I am 100% dedicated to making sure things run smoothly in your absence. I am a great problem solver. I will find out your comfort level for communication and ensure you are completely relaxed.
