About this assignment
Currently looking for someone who can stay some or all of 21 Dec to 5 Jan (some flexibility here). If interested, please get in touch!
We are looking for someone tidy and responsible who will enjoy spending time with our Golden Retrievers Oakley and Willow. We have a lot of wonderful trails and footpaths around the house, so someone who enjoys walks with our dogs would be ideal. Otherwise, just a friendly and reliable person (or couple!). Children welcome but please contact me to discuss.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
We ask our sitters to help with feeding the dogs twice a day, and taking them for a daily walk or two in the local village
What are the good features of the property and location
House:
- 2 bed home with beds to suit up to 4 people, but 2 is preferred
- Well maintained house with lots of room for socialising
- Home office space if you need to work
- Large garden and private parking, countryside location
Nearby:
- In Bentley village, where there is a local pub and shop in walking distance (5 min)
- Near to Alice Holt Forest
- Less than 10 minute drive (or there’s a bus) to Farnham town centre
- 3 minute drive to Bentley train station for fast trains to London Waterloo
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Must have a car and be a non-smoker (please do not ask me if you can sit without a car).

Puppies and playtime in scenic area with easy access to London
Ariel and Charlie are fantastic people with a couple of fantastic dogs! Willow and Oakley were so well behaved and easy to care for. My partner and I were able to explore the area with dogs in tow (as most places nearby are dog friendly!), and the places we couldn’t bring the pups, we found we only visited once, because we had much more fun with them than without them! The cottage is spacious and clean, great facilities and perfect location to pop to the train station and catch a ride out to London for a few hours. Don’t miss a great opportunity to make new friends (human and canine), and enjoy a quiet holiday in the woods!
