our chicken and cats are easy to handle
Hi!
We are a couple from Germany, we bought this little farm (finca) 10 years ago. The finca has 200 olive trees, some oranges and lemons, figues, persimmons and pomegranates. The finca is 12 km away from Tortosa town and 4.5 km from Xerta, where you can buy all the essential things. We are looking for a couple or a single person. Your own car or camper is required, There is internet access. We have 220v, producing our own electricity by solar. We have gardens and chickens. And there are two cats, living outside. So we are looking for a nature and animal lover...
Watering our gardens is an important work a.o. a vegetable and fruit garden. Some practical experience would be helpful. We have good water by a pump. The farm is home to 2 cats and 6 chickens. You need to feed and care for them all twice a day.
Close by to Tortosa, a nice Town with around 40000 inhabitants, nice atmosphere. The beaches are 35 minutes away by car. The Parc natural Els Ports is close by the house, you can walk there for days. We have private road access, possible with normal car. There is view to the sea and mountains. We would like to give you our tiny house, with good bathroom and kitchen inside, grill and cooking area outside. At the terasse there is also a little cosy pool. If you want, we can fill it up.
We have extra space for a camper. Please discuss the size beforehand.
Our place is for nature lovers, people who like to go hiking or riding a bike. It is a very quite area, no party place. No pets are possible here. We only accept non-smoker.
The dates can be agreed upon.
No, sorry.
Testimonials
A delightful sojourn in the beautiful hills of the Parc Natural dels Ports, Valle d'el Ebro
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here in Finca El Drago, which has all the comforts of home, but in an off-grid situation. Christian was really friendly right from the start and ensured that we had plenty of time, before he left, to go over all the ins and outs of the property. I am used to solar power and well-water, but had I not been, he explained all the details very clearly to ensure that there were no problems. Dracula and Bianca, the delightful cats, were no problem at all. They live outside, but come for cuddles (at least Dracula does) on frequent occasions. The chickens were no trouble, and having fresh eggs whenever I wanted was certainly a bonus that I had been missing since I sold my own property! Watering was a daily task, but not an onerous one and the fresh acelgas and peppers, as well as a lovely variety of herbs, really enhanced my table. The beauty of the surrounding hills and the glorious skies were really compelling. Of course, I may be biased, but the seclusion and solitude is what attracted me most about this sit - If you like to be surounded by people and houses, it is not for you, however, if you are like me and a loner, in love with the open countryside, you will be captivated and never want to leave.
