We feed the outdoor birds and squirrels daily, and provide fresh water.
A bird lover who is kind, and conscientious about our pet and home. Non smoking. We need to be able to trust the sitter with our precious pet and our home. We have a domestic bird and a semi feral outdoor cat who need cared for.
Experienced, mature folks preferred.
Care and feeding for our green cheek conure, Lil Sis, and our porch kitty who was abandoned by neighbors. She is semi feral, having been abandoned when her owner died. She lives under a deck nearby, but likes to sleep on our porch, which is where we feed her daily.
Play time and cuddles! Take in mail and newspapers, daily. Take garbage can and recycle bin to curb on Mondays. Our conure needs her water/food and cage papers changed daily, fed and loved on. She is very cuddly! Especially, if you sing to her!!
Our house is comfortable and secure. We have a privacy fenced back yard. We have two ensuite bedrooms. We have fiber optics, high speed internet and WiFi. We are a 10 minute walk to a nearby town that has restaurants, shops and pubs. We are also near parks and 15 minute drive to the city of Cincinnati. We recommend the sitter has their own vehicle. It is hilly here!
We have CCTV
OUTSIDE our home and a security system. We ask that the sitter(s) do not bring people unknown to us into our home. We expect patience and kindness when dealing with our bird. We have an avian vet in a nearby town, if needed. We have helpful and nice neighbors, who may be called upon, if needed. We expect the sitters leave the house as they found it, clean and tidy. There are NO indoor cameras. Little Sis, our green cheeked conure is tame but feisty, loves to be sung to and loves her fresh food and fruit daily. She enjoys baths in the sink! We feed Mia, the tabby cat , daily with fresh water changes. She won't let us near her, but we talk to her gently and leave her in peace to eat.
No, sorry.

Sweet cocker spaniels
There is something about these two cocker spaniels that immediately says love! After a 10 day pet sit with Bob and his brother Stan, I still miss them as if they were my own family. When they see you, their little tails wag so hard that their soft bodies shake with joy. Unconditional love is totally addicting. Lil Sis is one smart bird. She plays with toys, flys onto your shoulder, dances a side-step and enjoys her fresh fruit & nuts. The house in central Cincy feels like home. It is 15 minutes to the Cincinnati zoo, 20 minutes to the Ohio Riverfront, and three minutes from a safe neighborhood park. Maddy and Dave are simpatico, generous people who will make their home clean and comfortable for you. They provide empty closet and drawer space, clean sheets and towels, and Maddy even asks,“What special foods would you like?” She generously shares her car full of gas and ready to drive from the airport. She always communicates well, even making a video and chatting on FaceTime, as well as responding to texts. It is an ideal housesit to explore the proud city of Bengals and Reds. You will enjoy it!

Happy 4th of July
Not going to make this long, Loved watching Stan and Bob. They had to leave their bird with professionals due to issues with Lil Sis. The 3 of us had fun really nice park just 3 miles away with lots of shade. The home was very nice and comfortable, nice fenced back yard, lovely neighborhood. Had to give meds to Bob but what a champ we had no problem. Stan and Bob made it easy and nice. Matty & Dave, thanks for the opportunity. Mark

Lovely people, animals, and home
I sat for Maddy and Dave's 2 sweet cocker spaniels and 2 lively birds for a week in Cincinnati. I fortunately got to meet Maddy and Dave the night before they left, and they gave me clear instructions and demonstrations. Maddy was also available for any questions I had. They have a beautiful home in a great location - 15 minutes to downtown, walkable to a very cute neighborhood with bars, coffee shops, and restaurants. Bob and Stan are very well-behaved, kind dogs who were a joy to take care of. Bob likes to simultaneously cuddle and play fetch, Stan likes to mess around with him while he does so. Lil Sis is a sweet bird who likes shoulders, pets down her back, and watching the news. LeRoi keeps to herself but is helpful in getting her apple clamp cleaned out in the morning. I'm happy to have had this experience with such wonderful animals in a very cool town. Thank you for everything, Maddy!

What wonderful doggies they are!
I had the pleasure of spending a week over Thanksgiving 2018 with Bob and Stan, 2 really delightful spaniel brothers. Yes, real brothers, litter mates, 6 years old American cockers. Absolutely lovely, these two! Bob will be happy if you throw his little ball indoors, he will run after it and bring it back for you to throw it again. All day! His brother Stan thinks he is a surgeon, because he performs some kind of liposuction on his stuffed "patients". Most of them are hedge hogs in different sizes, so maybe he is spacialized in that. There are also 2 small birds, one conure and a parakeet. The conure ("Little Sis") is tame and allowed to roam free in one of the bedrooms. She loved to climb all over me and hide in my long hair. She would sit on my finger or rub her little cheek against mine. So cute! The parakeet needs to stay "behind bars" (in her cage) for her and everybody's safety. The dogs and the birds need to be separated at all times as there would be carnage if they would meet without barriers between them. But that was quite easy to follow, there is a screen door between Little Sister's room and the rest of the house, and the dogs just need to stay out. Easy, no big deal. Maddy's home is clean and comfortable with all amenities you want and need (wifi, laundry set, gas stove, oven, microwave etc). Quiet and very safe neighbourhood, no weird people in the streets, just other people walking their dogs. Bob and Stan have their own doggy door into the backyard, where they can go whenever they want or need to. But nevertheless I walked them once a day in the afternoon, because they need to get out and sniff who else was there... Easy to do, safe pretty neighbourhood with old trees, and usually a walkie of 30-45 min per day was all they needed. So this was a short (8 days) assignment but a very pleasant one. I'd happily come back if Maddy would ask me to return next year. Oh, and I met their neighbour as well, such a nice lady and so helpful! If you are looking to spend time close to Cincinatti and you love sweet doggies and are not afraid of birds, this is your spot to be!
