About this assignment
I am looking for a cat lover and a reliable person to look after Benji and Diego and my plants. Someone who loves spend time at home playing with the cats and gardening in the terrace.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Benji & Diego have daily schedules for eating that must be respected and they love playing with their toys, they're very sociable and sweet, and a little bit crazy when they play together. I also have some plants in the terrace to water and look after, and two orchids which need one bath a week. I would like to meet the person one day before I leave, so I can have the time to show cats routines, how to clean their litters and explain everything about the plants and the house.
My cats are very clean so the litter must be cleaned twice a day, morning and evening and once a week a total cleaning.
Also the house must be kept cleaned and in order, especially the kitchen.
What are the good features of the property and location
I live in the center of Florence, very close to the station and the tramway from the airport, the river Arno and the main artistic spots.
My neighborhood is very lively, with lots of restaurants, bars and supermarkets. You can walk everywhere in the town without public transport or just use the bike sharing. There is also a nice big park nearby, less than 1km walking, where you can enjoy a nice walk under the trees or a run far from the tourists or do your grocery shopping on Saturday at the producer's market.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
I would prefer a single person with references, a clean person that would take good care of my home and has some experience with cats and love gardening.
Due to the growing bills of gas and electricity I have to ask you for a contribution to the expenses.
Can I bring my own pets?

Housesit in Florence, 2024
I stayed in Luisa's apartment from 30 June to 11th July 2024. Her apartment is very nice and cosy, well equipped, and it has a balcony too. It's in the heart of Florence. Museums and other buildings with works of art, the river Arno, shops, parks, all are in walking distance. Luisa's two cats are like two buddies who are quietly together often, eat together, and do some running inside the house too. ;-) On my first day, Luisa explained everything - about the apartment, about the cats, and she also showed me around in the neighborhood. This was really very useful!! July with some 34 degrees C. was a bit too hot, so next time I better visit Florence in the winter ...?

An unforgettable experience in Florence
Our days in florence were magical. Benji and Diego are the loveliest cats ever known. They were sociable from the first moment and and we love to play with them and enjoy their company during our stay. Luisa is an excellent hostess, super friendly and with clear instructions, nothing left to chance. Even, she waited us with a delicious dinner and we had a beautiful evening together. Luisa’s House is very comfortable and has an unbeatable location to know florence. Thanks Luisa for everything!!We spent some beautiful and memorable days in Florence. Benji & Diego have taken a piece of our heart?? May we meet again!!!

Wonderful hostess & two of the sweetest cats on the face of the earth.
We could not have asked for a warmer welcome in Luisa's lovely artsy apartment in the centre of Florence. After a long day of travel she instantly prepared us a delicious dinner and made us feel right at home. As for the two cats, Benji and Diego, it is hard not to love these two on first sight, these must be amongst the sweetest creatures we've ever had the pleasure of babysitting! All in all its really rare to meet people this kind and caring, Louisa is an absolute gem of a human being and a wonderful hostess, a crystal clear communicator and really always available if we had any sort of questions. We will for sure be back, if not to water the plants, to just visit! A Definite recommend!

A wonderful experience with 2 lovely cats
I really enjoyed my housesitting for Luisa and their 2 lovely cats Benji and Diego. She is a very nice and interesting person, and I have been happy to get to know her. The cats have slightly different personalities and both are adorable: intelligent, tender, playful and funny – and I already miss them! The house is really comfortable, well equipped and well located, in the centre of Florence, yet in a quiet area.

Wonderful housesit experience
We just loved caring for Benji the cat while Luisa was out of town. He had such a fun, playful, affectionate personality, and we got along well. Luisa's flat was in a terrific location: literally 5 min from the main train station, less than 10 min from most major landmarks, tons of restaurants and markets right in the middle of this ethnic neighborhood. The pizzeria downstairs was tasty and super convenient. Despite being in the middle of a lively neighborhood, her flat was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. Luisa was a gracious host and readily responsive when qe needed to reach her. We would definitely return to sweet Benji that I miss already. Super wonderful experience. Hugs to Benji and Luisa! Stay with a friendly cat in the heart of Florence
This was a great house sitting experience and I recommend Luisa and Benji to you with no hesitation. Luisa was easy and straightforward to communicate with when arranging the house sit and she and Benji made me very welcome when I arrived. She has an interesting life and I enjoyed meeting her and our conversations over the meal that she prepared. She speaks excellent English and gave clear instructions about the flat and caring for Benji. Benji is delightful. He is a small cat with a big personality and very sociable. He loves to play and will let you know when he wants a game. At night he likes to sleep quietly on the bed until he reminds you that it is time for breakfast! Luisa’s flat is ideal for exploring Florence and is close to the famous sights and the River Arno. All the shops and restaurants that you could possibly need are nearby and the main railway station is a short walk away. Inside, Luisa has decorated in her own unique way and it feels like a comfortable home and a peaceful refuge in the heart of the city. I especially liked the traditional timber ceilings! Thank you Luisa and Benji for my stay in Florence.
