About this assignment
Hello,
we are Vicy and Tormen, born and raised in Berlin. We are non-drinkers, non-smokers and vegan.
We adopted Rosie (5 years old) this year while doing a catsit ourselves. Sometimes it just feels right.
Rosie is cautious at first and does not like loud noises. After she gets to know you she is very affectionate. She loves to cuddle a lot and seems to never get enough. Be careful though, her biscuits can be quite sharp. So we like to put a pillow in our laps.
She loves watching TV, spy on the people outside through window, playing with her toys and preferebly with you.
We are looking for someone who can spend a lot of time with her while we are away. The WiFi is stable as I work from home myself. This will be Rosies first year experiencing fireworks in Berlin. As long as the windows are closed the noise is alright - still we would like you to stay with her so she wont be too anxious.
There is no smoking allowed in the apartment.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
- cuddle her a lot & give her attention
- feed her and stand by her side in case she doesnt want to eat alone
- clean her toilet
- play with her (mostly her playtime is in the evening)
- in case of emergency contact us first and then be able to call a vet (we fill you in regarding that personally)
- keep the flat as clean and be careful with opening windows and the front door
- update us with plenty of pictures (preferebly on a daily basis)
What are the good features of the property and location
Feel welcome to stay at my very central apartment of 60qm and enjoy the city without having troubles to get to all the sightseeing spots. There is a Tram just in front of the apartment going to Alexanderplatz and also the circle train.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Please be aware, that we need someone, who has capacity during the exact dates. We understand, if you want to spend christmas with your loved ones (and have visits) or party at New Eves - but then this catsit is not for you.
And also someone who doesnt make to many noises, has patience and is friendly with cats.
Can I bring my own pets?

I had a great time with Rosie!
It was my first time catsitting for so long - 5 whole weeks! and I really enjoyed the experience. I felt welcomed at Vicky's place and I am very grateful to her and Tormen for their trust. Our communication was easy and they did their best to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Rosie is a very funny and affectionate cat who is always ready to play, cuddle and talk to you. She was very brave during crazy Berlin fireworks and also when a vet came for a health check. Rosie really likes people and their attention so we've spent a lot of time chilling and working (she adores participating in group calls!) side by side. It was really hard to say goodbye to this cute little cat but I hope to spend some more time with her in the nearest future! :)

It was a pleasure to take care of the Vicy's cat
It was a real pleasure to stay at Victoria's place with her cute cat Kunibald. He is nice and funny and I enjoyed to take care of him.

Very pleasant assignment with lovely persons and cat
Victoria and Bruno are a lovely couple : very kind and welcoming. They trusted me when they were abroad and left me totally free to deal with their cat. Kunibald, 16 years old, is very easy to sit. As an indoor cat, he is quiet, peaceful and loving. He needs cuddles but he is quiet independant as well. It was so great to spend time with him ! The flat is very well connected to Berlin city center and to all neighbourhoods (tram in front of the building). Located in Friedrichshain, one of the coolest area in Berlin, you will have the opportunity to explore parks and find out bars and restaurants. This assignment will be an enriching experience with very pleasant persons and cat ! I highly recommend !
