The most important quality is honestly. Dependability and someone who has some experience with a very big house like ours. Also taking good care of our new puppy.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Feeding the dog and chickens.
Letting us know if anything goes wrong in the house in our absence and helping us get it fixed if needed.
Keeping things tidy.
As we have a new puppy (born in August-2024) we prefer house sitters that will not be out and about too much, and will give her lots of attention.

What are the good features of the property and location

Beautiful extensive property on the Loir river.
Peaceful and quiet but walking distance to the village.
Bicycles also available.
Optic fibre.
Ours is a good vibe home and the dog Izzy is the sweetest thing.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Do you mind being isolated.
Helpful if you speak a minimum of french but not mandatory.
We would give you a spacious bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor. The house is minimally heated but you can always warm up by a nice cozy fire.
This is a great place for someone who likes the outdoors and the countryside.

Can I bring my own pets?

Yes
Restrictions: If they are well behaved and would be limited to 3 ground floor spaces.
