About this assignment

Loves dogs and enjoys spending time on long walks with the dog in the woods. Fitting into and enjoy living in a suburban environment. Careful and conscious usage of house and utilities.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Feeding 1 dog, a female golden retriever, age 8 walking dog, playing with dog.
Feeding 1 cat and cleaning the litter box as needed.
Vacuum cleaning, occasional dusting, Emptying mail box. Emptying trash can or other general cleaning/care of house while staying.

We also have a small pond with a few small koi and goldfish. The fish are fairly self sufficient but should be fed a bit everyday..

What are the good features of the property and location

Pretty view with beautiful sunsets (photo was taken from our patio), small yard; large patio/terrace; recently renovated kitchen; quiet location adjacent to forest; only 10 minutes walk to public transport - from there, 15 minutes tram ride to Basel city downtown. Basel and the surrounding towns and villages have charming town centers.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Quiet neighborhood, own vehicle is helpful, but not required. Dog enjoys long walks and the great outdoors. Cat is indoor/outdoor but spends most of her time indoors or in the garden.
