a most beautiful historic house in the most beautiful town near Paris. Royal park and Olympic-size swimming pool just next door. Paris 20 mins by train from station closeby. Bicycles available.

an opportunity to enjoy a few days in one of the most beautiful unsung towns near Paris, where Louis XIV was born and lived. Beautiful forest and park walks nearby; fabulous facilities, market, shopping, a beautiful old house with lots of room, Versailles and Paris easy to reach by public transport. Parking facilities within home.

It was a pleasure to look after Hoppy,a very sweet labrador. She was so easy to handle and a great companion during my stay. I spent a great time with Hoppy walking in the park and the forest nearby. Geraldine, Oliver and the family is great. Geraldine is very relaxed and friendly, Oliver is a nice person who liked to talk about the house and St Germain en Laye. The children were very friendly. Arthur came to meet me at the RER station. Oliver and Geraldine gave me good information on the house, the dog and on St. Germain en Laye. They made me feel at home and they had a real interest in me. We kept in touch during their holiday. The house is gorgeous. It is a beautiful home full of lovely treasures. I loved the pictures they had of the children. The garden is very big. I had a very nice room with my own bathroom. The house is very well situated in the park and close to the RER. St Germain en Laye is a beautiful town. I loved the park and the castle. Lots of things to see and the RER will take you to Paris in a short time. Many thanks to Geraldine, Oliver, Arthur and of course Hoppy for the great housesit. I can't recommend them enough. Hope to com back one day....

Hoppy time is happy time
We are still enjoying the time we have had in this beautiful historic house with the loveliest Labrador we ever met. Hoppy made our days with her affectionately character and was always around us. The owners, the whole family and Hoppy, give us a warm welcome when we arrived. They are very friendly and easy going, gave good instructions and where always reachable when we had a question or just to give a update. The house is very special, with a lot of authentic elements and behind the gate you forget that you are in the city center. We had a wonderful time in this house and garden with Hoppy, but as well in Saint Germain en Laye and Paris. All over, the perfect ingredients to make this house sitting more than worth it. House sitting in St Germain, Paris
We spent a wonderful two weeks house sitting for the Ash family, all of whom were lovely. The house is very comfortable and situated close to the St Germain forest which provided wonderful walks for Hoppy their affectionate Labrador. The house is close to the RER station which made trips into Paris easy although there is a lot to see in the town itself, with 3 markets in the week. The family were very easy to communicate with both before and during the house sitting and instructions were clear. Anybody chosen to house sit will be very lucky. We look forward to keeping in communication with the family.

Dream location at 20 minutes from Paris!
In the middle of the charming town of Saint Germain en Laye with all facilities, shops and markets, and the former palace of Louis XIV, the Royal Park & a huge forest around the corner, you find this breathtakingly beautiful house with spacious garden, and … a truly sweet family dog called Hoppy (Labrador). The house owners have their top floor (second floor) turned into a convenient, cosy guest room with own private bathroom for the house sitters to use. Like the rest of the house, it is so attractively decorated, and full of character, that you feel inmediately at home. If you like the buzzling, metropolitan life of Paris but at the same time like to stay in a green oasis surrounded by historic buildings then this is the perfect location! We enjoyed the splendid views over Paris and the nearby Seine from the Royal Park as we walked the dog there everyday. You can easily reach this suburb by public transport (trains, buses, RER). If you bring your car then parking is not an issue as you can just drive into the secluded, private garden and leave it there. We can truly recommend this wonderful place with very sympathetic and hospitable owners for an unforgettable housesit.
