Someone who is willing to stay at my house most of the time.Someone who loves animals and has a responsible nature. Individual or family/couple who fit the description.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
to look after the house and garden as their own. To care for and feed my pets and give them cuddles as i would. To refer to written information on refuse and recycling collections and stay at home for the majority of the time.
What are the good features of the property and location
My house is large and has plenty of room. There are views of the sea from the bedrooms.. I live just above the high street with all the shops and another level down is the seafront with several beaches. If your car is of normal size you can park in my garage. If you come on public transport i will collect you from the station.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Because the town is on a hill if you walk down to the beach you will have to walk back uphill. You will have to walk upstairs, possibly 2 flights to get to your bedroom. There is a toilet on each floor.
Can I bring my own pets?

Thoughtful owner, interesting place
We really enjoyed our stay in Carol's interesting and comfortable home in Ilfracombe, Devon .She was very friendly , and invited us to come the night before when we had a nice chat with her and she told us about the area , the layout of tht house and had written a very clear list of instructions , as well as fixing us a nice meal ! Her daughter was very friendly too and both made us feel at home .Her car Lola is guiet and very easy to care for ,and maybe next time she will.sit on my lap 😊 Carol's house is conveniently located very near to shops and beautiful harbour and beach - everything you could need is there .We were provided with a big bedroom and private bathroom, .There is so much to do in the area as well and the surrounding area is beautiful . We felt very comfortable there and would definitely recommend this sit .

Lovely stay in Ilfracombe
Carol is very welcoming and kindhearted. She left very thorough and easy to follow details that were handy to have as a reference. Kia is an absolute delight, she’s very sweet and easy dog. Lola the cat is shy at first, but loves having lap time. She also quite sweet and gentle. Carol’s home is in a very convenient location just minutes walk to the shops.

Lovely place and lovely pets
Carol has a large house in Ilfracombe and I was very comfortable staying here. She left clear instructions for Kia the dog, Lola the cat and the fish. She cooked me dinner on the first night. I had the use of the washing machine, own fridge and sky. Kia is a Rottweiler but she is loving, calm and well trained, she only require one walk a day. She does stay in your room but loves sleep in. Lola mainly lives in the upstairs bedroom but comes for a cuddle downstairs too. Carol also left contact for her daughter and son for emergency and they popped in a few times. Would definitely sit again for Carol if available and I miss Kia a lot!

The Hillside House by the Sea
We had the pleasure of providing housesitting services for Carol twice taking care of her sweet Rottweiler Kia, her shy cat Lola and her inquisitive fish while minding her home. She provided very detailed written and verbal instructions on how to care for her home and animals. She is a fantastic host providing very comfortable rooms to live in whilst we were here and even made us a meal upon our arrival. Her heart is huge and she is one of the most caring people we've been blessed to encounter. Thank you so much Carol for the opportunity to love your home while you were away and you will always be our family friend!????

Lovely loation
Carol left good instructions. Animals were easy to care for and well behaved. Ilfracombe is in a good location to visit nearby beautiful locations. The weather was thankfully exceptional. Thank you Carol.
