Let the dog see the rabbit in Lincolnshire

About this assignment

Looking for someone with a genuine love of animals, reliable tidy etc. All the obvious things really. We think this is a great area with lots to see and explore. We relocated here ourselves. We are looking for approx2 months around late March to mid may May (dates are flexible). But ongoing we would be looking for sitters for periods around 2 months at different times of year. If there is anyone out there who would like regular trips Lincolnshire we could possibly develop some kind of regular arrangement. There could be scope for slightly shorter sits.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

We have 3 dogs who love walks. They are 2 retired racing grehounds and one lurcher cross. There are also 7rabbits( Angoras) and 7 Guinea Pigs housed in purpose buit hutches undercover. They basically need feeding and keeping clean. We find that a smaller amount of regular cleaning out is easiest and quickest. There are also 2 cockatiels plus several budgies in a small aviary. Indoor and outdoor fish which require minimal attention. Other than that just minimal gardening. Possibly watering.

What are the good features of the property and location

We are located just outside of Wainfleet which is approximately 6 miles from Skegness. So we have the best of both worlds Countryside and Seaside! Accommodation would be in our mobile home in the large (half acre) garden which borders the River Steeping. Also additional facilities in our cottage . The mobile home has been extensively renovated and improved and is heated by a cosy solid fuel stove/woodburner. There is also ample room for a touring caravan or motorhome. There is also good Broadband access. The property is in a quiet rural location but is only half a mile from Wainfleet and approx 6 miles from Skegness. So all the sun, sand, candyfloss and fish and chips of the Lincolnshire coast are all in easy reach but also that completely alternative rural Lincolnshire of market towns, the Wolds and fens is also on your doorstep. The area is also a 'carboot' lovers paradise.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Although aour dates show approximately 2 months this is our ideal. We could consider variations that shortened the sit to some degree. Our property is located in a small group of 6 and we have very friendly helpful neighbours.
