Friendly, likes to cuddle in your lap, hide under blankets, and plays hide and seek. Inside/outside pet.
I am looking for a house/plant and cat sitter while I am out of town for extended period this Spring 2025. Prefer someone who has at least one testimonial from prior CAT sitting experience. I have some flexibility if you need to end a day or two before or later etc.
TWO NEEDS:
~Jan 10 - Feb 6
End Feb - roughly end March
House sitter will provide general care and cleaning up after their use of the space etc. Water minimal plants once weekly. Pet care includes interacting with my college daughter's kitty named "Ela" (feed, strain/change litter). Kitty is friendly and cuddly and sometimes rowdy (plays hide and seek).
Near central campus in Chapel Hill but in mature neighborhood with lots of trees and quiet private setting. 5 min walk or bike to paved trails and coffee shop. 5 min drive to Grocery stores (Whole Foods, Trader Joes, ALDI) and restaurants (Shake Shack, CHOPT, Chipotle, Starbucks, yoga, Cava, bakery etc). I am a 25 min walk to downtown Chapel Hill, 20 min to Duke and many locations within 1-3 hr drive -- state parks, beaches, Charlotte, Asheville/Blueridge Parkway or 3.5 hrs to Outer Banks and beaches. Ela could be left for an overnight so long as adequate food/water is left for her.
House has 3 bedrooms on the main floor, desk for working, exterior stone patio with table, chairs, hammock chair. Keyless entry.
Lower level has a lock off apartment that I rent as an airbnb occasionally so there could be a guest in there but no action required for that - its all separate entry/parking and self contained. Just perhaps you'd hear some movement below you or a car during this time.
Do not need you to be mechanical. House is recently renovated and featured in Chapel Hill Magazine Sept 2021---its contemporary, comfortable, calm, and sits up higher than the road to overlook the comings and goings. The driveway is steep to garage but there is a 2nd driveway that has a walkable path up to front door if preferred. Car can be made available for in town use only upon discussion.
No, sorry.
