I would like to open my home to a kind, trustworthy individual or couple who enjoy the company of an easy-going cat in a quiet suburb. I enjoy gardening and would like my guest/s to be of the same mind in maintaining the yard. Responsibilities would include caring for our cat Charmander, light gardening (watering, weeding, mowing small lawn), and keeping the house tidy.
Care for and feed our indoor/outdoor cat Charmander. He is fed twice a day (morning and evening) and allowed to go outside during the day. I would ask that when you call him in for his evening feeding you keep him in for the night. He is a very friendly, low maintenance cat who enjoys a person’s company, but will not overwhelm you with demands for attention. Gardening chores would be light weeding, watering and mowing a small lawn as needed (about 1-3 hours of work a week). Minimal care in winter.
In exchange for caring for Charmander, the house, and yard, you will enjoy a well-maintained home that offers all the amenities of a comfortable retreat. The house has lots of space for relaxation and solitude including a screened in porch and large family room. House amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, high speed internet, lots of streaming services, outdoor BBQ gas grill, and a backyard fire pit.

We live in a split-level house with two sets of seven steps (1-up to bedrooms and 2-down to family room) located on a small hill with a “steepish” driveway. There are 3 steps leading into the house.
We would meet in the morning of December 21 to walk through the house and answer any questions you may have.
No, sorry.

Nice Peaceful Pet Sit
This is a nice, clean, cozy home in a quiet area with all the shopping you would need to have access to within 2-4 miles. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here with Charmander who is a super easy cat to care for. Tyra was excellent in her communication as to Charmander's typical feeding routine. She was expedient in answering texts I sent with any questions needing answers. I would be happy to go back again and care for her home and Charmander whenever our schedules match.

Lovely setting, easy cat care in central North Carolina
We had a great time taking care of Charmander, the cat! The house is in a wooded setting in a quiet neighborhood. Lots of large oak and pines, plus a beautiful contemplation garden with bird feeders occupies much of the backyard. Charmander was immediately friendly. He spends most of his time outdoors around the backyard, making care very easy. But he was also happy laying next to us on the sofa. The house was lovely - great wifi, three sitting rooms with TV, complete kitchen, comfy bed. It was easy to feel "at home". Tyra was friendly and very accommodating, providing full written instructions covering everything we needed to know as well as showing us everything when we arrived. She communicated well and was quick to respond whenever we had a question throughout the stay. She's the sort of person that you know would make a great friend! The location is centrally located, halfway between Raleigh-Durham and Charlotte. There was plenty to see and do nearby. All the shopping and restaurants were close by. We highly recommend this pet sitting opportunity!

A Wonderful Home and Cat
Tyra has a charming home on a tree-covered hill in the center of North Carolina. It felt like living in a tree house with lovely green views from every window. Her screened-in porch and rear garden added to the serenity. We had all the comforts of home with her well-appointed kitchen, great WiFi, multiple televisions with Netflix, etc., access to her printer, large capacity washer and dryer, cozy bedroom, and great places to lounge. Charmander the cat looks like a miniature bobcat and spends most of his time outside, but he is a sweetheart and loves to cuddle. The garden was enjoyable to tend, and keeping the bird feeders stocked provided hours of bird and squirrel watching fun! Tyra was the perfect hostess, starting with a friendly Zoom interview followed by very detailed instructions and then several hours spent with us upon our arrival, showing us around and explaining how to care for her property and cat. When she was away, she responded promptly to any questions we had and quickly solved any issues. The town of Sanford has everything you need and is within several hours' drive of North Carolina's major cities and attractions. Several state parks only a 30-45 minute drive away provided beautiful hiking trails. This was a great first housesitting experience for us, and it will be hard to match! We highly recommend Tyra and her home for your consideration.
