We’re looking for a responsible dog/house sitter from August 21st to September 21st 2023. Our spacious mountain home is located in Cedar Crest, New Mexico on the outskirts of the National Forest, but a convenient 20-minute drive to bustling Central Avenue (part of the famous Route 66) in Albuquerque.
Responsibilities:
• Feed and walk Shlomo and Gittel twice a day
About us: Cary is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Panama ’08), a writer, teacher and rapacious reader. Laura is from Milan, Italy and she works in the film industry. But the real stars of the show are Shlomo and Gittel —our lovable 7 and 3 year-old English Springer Spaniels. They are both cuddly and loving (mellow and well-behaved) who love hikes, walks and chasing frisbee. They are incredibly sweet; you’ll be sure to fall in love with them in no time.
We’re located in Cedar Crest, New Mexico in the SE part of the Sandia Mountains, just a couple of miles off interstate 40, with easy access to Albuquerque. Our home is on a very quiet dead end road just off NM State Road 14 aka Scenic Byway Turquoise Trail, that connects us to Santa Fe (about a 1hr drive). In the immediate area there is all you might need - a supermarket, a post office, a few restaurants, coffee shops, even a nationally renowned golf course - without having to drive into the city.
We are within walking distance/short drives to spectacular trails for hikes or mountain biking in the Sandia Mountains.
The house is a roomy 2-bedroom/3-bath on a 1/2 acre property. You will have full access to: fully equipped kitchen, extensive library, internet, a private deck with sun beds, rowing machine and two bicycles (his and hers).
It’s a non-smoking house. Our indoor plants will get thirsty, please make sure to keep them happy! Please keep the house clean and tidy.
No, sorry.
