About this assignment
Looking for an animal lover who will care for my much loved 2 cats and enjoy living in my villa in Siem Reap and look after it responsibly. These dates are not exact I am probably going to be away for 2 months somewhere between beginning of March and middle of May
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
. Feed my cats , ensure they always have clean water, play with them , give them love and clean the litter tray . Keep them safe. Keep the villa tidy, There are outdoor and indoor plants that need watering. Pay the electric bill. I will take care of all other expenses. Start my scooter daily or it won't start on my return.
What are the good features of the property and location
The villa is located in a quiet countryside area of Siem Reap in a small community of 5 other villas. It is very safe. It is 3 km from the centre of town. There is a cleaner and gardener. There are 2 hotels very close that allow pool use if you buy food. it is $1.50 in a 3 wheel tuk tuk to get into the town centre. The nearest supermarket is 2km. There is fast Wifi and a Smart TV that you may put your own Netflix /Amazon log in onto. You may use my scooter at your own risk. Scooter rental can be arranged at approx $60 -$70 a month. If you are lucky there will be mangoes and bananas in the garden.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
I will require the sitter to pay the electric bill as it is hot season and you will run A/C. I use A/C lightly ( only at night and set on 27 degrees) and my highest bill last year was around $60 . If you use my scooter and damage it you are liable for repairs. If there are any health issues with the cats you will need to take them to the vet.

A great Puglian experience !
Staying in Claires lovely renovated home in Ostuni was a privilege. A haven to come home to. Claire is a great communicator, and easy to talk to. :) Caring for the animals was entertaining! Raylene the cranky old girl, was truly a delight! Don’t let her fool you, she actually loves being gently patted and brushed, so please don’t neglect her. She is most entertaining esp. when its food time :) Pino is such an easy adorable cat to love, loves food and attention, he is a home boy but also loves to explore the gardens outside:) Billy the dog, is a loyal dog, he is a gentle soul & will take all the affection you are willing to give him :) The location is excellent, it’s close to so many historical cities, all within a 20min to 1 hour drive. Great local markets. Only 5min to Ostuni by car. Local beaches 20 to 30min. Best pizza in Ostuni is Impasto Napoletano, just tell the owners Julie and Belinda, the Australians sent you. :) Thank you again Claire, it was truly a great experience. And I/we look forward to a returning visit again, one day. xo
