About this assignment

I am looking for someone who will not steal all of my things. I would also love it if I came back to my cats still alive.
In all reality, I live in a beautiful area and would love to exchange love for my cats for a wonderful place to visit.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Caring for 2 cats: Feeding twice daily, 2 water bowls, 2 litter boxes. They are very sweet and social.
I also have some plants that need to be watered 1-2x per week.

Other than that, the place is yours!

What are the good features of the property and location

Details about the home:
1 master bedroom, 1 open office room (can clear off desk for you to work at, if desired) 1.5bath apartment with a spacious patio.

Dishwasher
Central air conditioning
Wifi internet and streaming services on the tv

Plenty of easy parking available.
Details about the location:
Located in a suburb of Boulder, Colorado. About 5-10min drive from downtown Boulder with coffee shops, restaurants, shopping, farmer's market, events...etc.
About 5 min walk from beautiful walking trails and about 10/15min drive to lakes, mountain hiking, or indoor rock climbing fitness gym.
About 45 minutes from downtown Denver and Red Rocks area (for concerts, scenic drives, and hiking/walking).
About 1-2hrs from ski resorts!
About 45mins away is Estes Park, which makes for a great day trip to see a touristy small mountain town/downtown. Loads of events that take place (like rubber duck racing day...etc.) Elk roam these areas as well, so you might catch one walking down the sidewalk with you.
Rocky Mountain National Park is about 45 minutes away as well, for some more adventurous hiking. (Might even see a moose!)

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

It's fairly easy to get around by public transit here, but if you'd like to do more adventurous off-the-beaten path activities, a car is recommended.

I live on the second floor and there is no elevator.

**Very important**- I have celiac disease, so I am very allergic to gluten. Because of this, I keep a completely gluten-free home. I'd ask you to please not bring any gluten-containing foods into the home. I am more than happy to stock up on gluten-free bread, cereal, or other requests for you. There is commonly yeast or other gluten issues in seasonings, so I'd also ask that you help yourself to any seasonings currently in the home or definitely feel free to ask as many questions as you need! I want you to feel comfortable and happy!

Can I bring my own pets?

No, sorry.

Great stay with kitties Thanksgiving 2021

I had the good fortune of spending about 10 days in Longmont over Thanksgiving 2021. Drew and Bethany had 4 kitties at the time, they were all quirky and sweet, and it was easy to care for them. The apartment was clean, spacious and safe, in walking distance to stores but not at a busy road, and I had a very comfortable stay in their guest room. Drew and Bethany were very kind and generous hosts, and I would go back in a heart beat. In fact, Drew has asked me to come back, and the only reason I can't make it is that I am already booked for Tennessee in August of 2024. If you are available and considering this sit, go ahead, do it, you will enjoy it. Colorado is so beautiful in all seasons, the cats are sweet and Drew is a great host.
