About this assignment
Looking for a trustworthy and reliable person or couple to take care of our friendly and talkative 17 year old cat. The house needs minimal care - just cleaning up after yourself.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Look after Sophie, our friendly, well behaved cat. Feed her dry food twice a day, play and cuddle with her, keep the water bowls full, and scoop the litter trays into the garbage. Other than that, we would expect a sitter to clean up any messes they make.
What are the good features of the property and location
The property is a great 1400 square foot, three bed, 2.5 bath condo in a quiet condo complex in Manchester, Connecticut. We have good WiFi. A wooded walking trail around a pond starts on the property. Manchester, the "City of Village Charm", is a small city with a surplus of parkland, including Case Mountain with a huge network of trails, the striking Union Pond, Hockanum River Trail through picturesque woods, and more. Downtown there are breweries, coffee shops, a cute antique shop, etc. The nearest grocery store is a five minute drive and the Buckland Hills mall complex is fifteen minutes away. It's a 25 minute drive to Hartford, the capital of Connecticut, with museums and historic buildings. Boston, Mass is a 90 minute drive, and New York is around two hours.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
You should have experience with taking care of cats.
There is a local bus service with a stop close by, but it's still a lot more convenient to get around by car. We have a carport you can park in.
Can I bring my own pets?

Sadie is obviously more laid back, but she joined me more frequently than I expected her to. Both cats are delightful, and I am so pleased that I had the opportunity to care for them while you were away.
