About this assignment
We had great experience with house sitters before, reason why we are looking for someone again to mind our dog and home while we are away.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Feed the dog, make sure she has enough toilet breaks.
No need to bring her for walks as she has enough space in the garden to explore.
Depending on the season, if you could also water our plants, just to keep them alive until we return.
What are the good features of the property and location
We have a cottage located in a quiet area, located between Naas and Newbridge 15 mins drive to each. (Car essential)
We love gardening so depending on the season you ll be able to enjoy fresh fruits and veggies during your stay.
You ll have your own double room and bathroom, access to our bar, jacuzzi, gym and office. (with work from Home setup with strong Wi-Fi)
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
You will need your own car to move around, the area is pretty quiet so suitable for someone looking for a break from the city.

Spacious Kildare Cottage with Two Sweet Dogs
I thoroughly enjoyed my time housesitting for Franciele and Aidan and caring for their lovely dogs, Floyd and Maya. They were thoughtful and trusting hosts, everything was well organised and I had all the information I needed, with good communication before and during the sit. Their home is in a peaceful rural setting, spacious with lots of windows and beautiful plants. It was left very clean and tidy so it was easy for me to settle in. They have all mod cons and some fun lighting in the kitchen which I enjoyed of an evening! Floyd is an old boy, confident and still has a playful streak, though he needs to take it easy now! On the other hand, Maya is a young Border Collie with a sweet nature and full of energy. Both are very well behaved, gentle and friendly and Maya is good at entertaining herself with the many toys. They have a large plot which is great for playing ball with Maya, and a polytunnel full of veg and greens, a real treat if you are there in the growing season! The weather was pretty good while I was there in April, and there are plenty of good walking spots nearby, as well as being less than an hours drive from Slieve Bloom and Wicklow mountains. Maya is a lovely companion for walking and she was happy to go in the car with me for a few outings, plus very obedient off lead. I loved trotting down to the polytunnel with Floyd in tow and having hugs with Maya (she is extremely cuddly!) & recommend this sit to anyone looking for a peaceful stay in a great location with two lovely companions.

Tranquillity and natural beauty
Looking after Maya and Floyd was an incredibly rewarding experience. Their boundless energy and affection made every day special. We miss them all. It was a privilege to care for Fran's & Aidan's beautiful house. We found immense satisfaction in tending to the garden and the polytunnel with an abundance of vegetables. Thank you for the opportunity to experience such tranquillity and natural beauty. Highly recommend it to anyone.
