About this assignment
We would like to find a quiet and reliable person or couple who loves cats and can take care of them, keep the house clean and tidy and water the plants.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
He/she will take care of our cat and water the plants in the house and in the garden and keep the house clean and tidy. The animal (a female cat, 18 years old, called mimi) needs affection. Every morning, once a day, the house sitters should put outside food to 7 (wild) cats that live in the area (not entering home).
What are the good features of the property and location
The house is in a natural area 4 km from the town of Negrar, in the hills of Valpolicella (famous for its great wine). It is located in a panoramic place surrounded by vineyards and woods. It is at 15 km from the city of Verona (which is a UNESCO heritage city, beautiful and rich of story), and about 35 min from Garda Lake (the largest lake in Italy, surrounded by mountains with beautiful landscapes ). For nature lovers there are also many trails that run through the area and through the mountains of Lessinia regional reserve.
The house is very comfortable, with living, bedroom, kitchen and two bathrooms.
On our land you enjoy birds songs and marvellous sunset view from the barbecue area.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
We should agree on a contribution to the expenses (heating, electricity...) during the period of stay.
There are two families as neighbours and we want to keep a good relationship with them. Everyone has his own space that must be respected, It is strongly recommended to have a car in order to move. If you don't have any, we could arrange to lend you our car (a Fiat Panda).

Jean Pierre and Dani are lovely hosts, with a wonderful house up in the hills among the vinyards above Negrar, near Verona. We house and cat-sat for several weeks, looking after the very affectionate Mimi and socialising with their friends, who they introduced us to. It's a lovely house and a beautiful area to explore. Beautiful area, comfortable house, outstanding people
Sitting for Daniela and Jean Pierre was fantastic. They made sure I fully understood the details of the assignment before committing to the sit (the house is on a hill a few kilometers from town). The views of the surrounding area are spectacular. Mimi the cat was sweet, affectionate, and pretty low-maintenance. Daniela and Jean Pierre introduced me to some of their friends interested in meeting travelers and it was the hospitality and people in this little corner of Italy that made this sit outstanding! I now have friends in Veneto and look forward to returning some day. I would highly recommend this sit :)

Beautiful home with stunning views
The home was beautiful and everything there functioned as it should. The terrace and garden were pleasant places to be in good weather, and the views were stunning, especially sunsets. The hosts were helpful and friendly, and everything went as agreed. Mimi the cat is fun. She needs a bit of her own space but occasionally asks for and needs attention. I had a really nice time house-sitting.
