Daphne is a very engaging 9 year old yellow lab. She loves walks and food and wants to be around people.
We are looking for someone who will look after our house and dog as if they were their own. Daphne is good natured and friendly and used to being looked after by house sitters. She requires 1 walk/day.
The main responsibility will be care of our labrador. In spring and summer there will be pots to water and grass to cut and light housework.
Our property is in an area of outstanding natural beauty with excellent travel links and wonderful walks on the doorstep. Flatford Mill, owned by the National Trust, is a mile away and you can follow in the footsteps of the artist John Constable. The east coast is 35 mins drive away.
The house is in a village with an excellent village shop, bakery and pubs but it will be easier if you have your own transport. Daphne is very used to going in the car so is fine to be taken out and about.
No, sorry.

House and dog sit in the beautiful English countryside
Arabella welcomed us with a coffee and introduced us to their lovely 9 year old Labrador Daphne. We had a tour around their beautiful 17th century stately home. She also left us very clear written instructions as well as maps of the surrounding areas to visit. It was a pleasure to walk Daphne around this beautiful countryside, famous for the birthplace of John Constable and his works. The house was very comfortable with a warm Aga in the kitchen. We communicated often throughout our three weeks stay. We would be happy to sit for them again. Ewa and Kris form Poland October 2024

5* Sit in Constable country
Arabella is a wonderful hostess. We were made to feel welcome even before we arrived. She and her husband have a beautiful 16th century stately home in the countryside in which reside two adorable labs; Daphne & Lucy. They are love personified. The house is clean and comfortable with all the mod cons. The communication was clear and easy throughout. We would be happy to sit for them again.
