The house-sitter would of course love dogs, be comfortable in the countryside and resourceful (because it's countryside ;-). And neat and respectful of our house.
Taking good care of our dog Heli, keeping the house in order, sometimes receiving workers for works in or out the house, and communicating with us from time to time. And leave the house clean when you leave.
We are in a very charming countryside in Puglia, in the middle distance of 2 villages, the house is confortable, with swimming pool and wifi. The garden is fantastic and there is everything to feel good there. A bike or a car is needed to join the villages as they are at 5km and 8km from the house.
Our dog can be a little impressive at the first glance. In fact he is the nicer and sweeter dog in all Puglia !
No, sorry.

So enjoyable!
This was such a great place to sit an adorable cat! I loved the beautiful countryside, homeowners were lovely, and while patcha wasn’t as friendly as some cats she was absolutely delightful. Fun to watch her dash about and sweet when she wanted some love. Sad I was only here for a week. I would do this sit again in a heartbeat!!

Lovely winter in puglian countryside with dog Heli
I was super lucky to find this (last-minute) sit and and to be able spend 3 winter months in a quiet publian countryside with the sweetest dog ever. The story of this dog is touching by itself - he is a stray dog that picked this house to live and the owners fell in love with him. Even though it's a summer house mostly they wanted to provide him care and food all year long. Heli is big but makes no harm and is very friendly to everyone. The house is not fenced so he goes whenever he likes but stays mostly around the house and sleeps a lot. Gets food twice a day and is happy to have company. No walks needed. The house is very small but cosy. Super quiet, which I love! It's 5 km from the nearest town Carovigno and no public transport here so it's good to have at least a bicycle like me. The area and region is wonderful, close to the sea and full of olive trees, beautiful towns. Just wantever you might expect from the south of Italy. There is wifi but it might get tricky sometimes (like when it's windy) - I managed to work online giving online classes though. During winter it gets humid and chilly so you need to use wood burner to heat the place. Most of the days were sunny though, which is great. The owners are aboslutely fantastic and provide help whenever needed, you can write to them any time. I originally was to spend here 1 month but it got prolonged to 3, I would willingly stay for the 4th but have another housesitting assignment planned. I hope Heli gets respectful and loving human company in the future.
