About this assignment

Looking for reliable animal lover, with good references, to look after our small animal menagerie in Ojochal, southern Costa Rica, over this coming Christmas holiday period.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Responsibilities will include looking after
2x well trained border collies
1x small tico dog
13 x goats
2 x pig
1 x tenrec
lots of chickens, ducks and guinea fowl
The farm is self-contained and needs modest up-keep throughout the day, such as feeding and watering the animals. Making sure animals are safely locked up at night, and releasing them into the farm in the early morning.
Walking, playing with dogs on our 5.5acre property.

What are the good features of the property and location

Our site is in downtown Ojochal. You wouldn't need a car as shops are within walking distance. Although a car would be better. Property is fairly large and other people may be living on the property at the same time. The responsibility will be to look after the animals only. You will get a private house to live in.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

All our animals are super friendly and tame, but prior experience looking after different farm animals like goats, pigs and high energy dogs is preferred.

Can I bring my own pets?

Yes
Restrictions: Dogs that are well trained and won't chase free roaming birds or farm animals are ok.
