Small happy dog needs care in modern home in ancient Kentish village near the sea

I'm looking for a person or couple from any country who will respect my new home. I hope you will love my little mini-Schnauzer Wilma who is very friendly, loving and obedient.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The most important thing is to look after Wilma, to give her cuddles and attention, and to take her for walks twice a day. I hope you will enjoy the garden in the sunshine, and have a lovely time in in the Kentish countryside.

What are the good features of the property and location

The house is new with a smart modern kitchen and bathroom and a comfortable new bed. We are in a lovely village, Minster the ancient capital of Thanet district in Kent. Our monastery, now occupied by Benedictine sisters, was founded in 670 AD not far from where St Augustine first came to England in the year 597. We have several restaurants and pubs in the village, including Turkish, Indian and Chinese. The beautiful golden sands of Ramsgate and Broadstairs are 15 minutes drive. Canterbury, with its 12th century spectacular cathedral and medieval lanes and modern shops, is 30 minutes drive. And all around is the peaceful Kentish countryside, the "Garden of England", its marshes, orchards and farms producing world-renowned fruit, vegetables, and lamb & beef. We are not far from Dover and its White Cliffs, and seafood including crabs, lobster, scallops and of course Dover sole the best fish for any table. (Note that the map on this site is inaccurate: we are south-east of Canterbury and much nearer the coast, about 7 miles inland from Ramsgate & Broadstairs.)

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

A car is advisable. We have a local bus service, and trains run from Minster station to Canterbury to connect with the high speed line into central London Kings Cross St Pancras International. Buses & trains are one per hour. The house is extremely convenient to live in, with internal stairs to the bedrooms and bathroom. The garden is planted as an English cottage garden and needs watering in the spring and summer. A cleaner is available and the grass is cut every two weeks. For the winter, the central heating is efficient. We have good wifi, and Sky, Disney+, Amazon & Netflix TV channels.
