About this assignment
Ideal candidate is required to be a kind companion for Teddy our Red setter Retriever Cross.He is a very special guy, if you read testimonials you'll see for yourself. Also care for Hens and Collect eggs. .
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Let out, feed, water, and lock in our hens, Feed and walk Teddy in nearby countryside, Water plants in the greenhouse. Feed fish ,
What are the good features of the property and location
Our Farmhouse is situated between Kilrush and Doonbeg.
15 mins drive to kilkee strand and White strand beaches. 10 mins to Kilrush with all the supermarkets and local shops. 5 mins to local pub in Moyasta.
10 mins to Trump international Hotel.
Lots of walking tracks nearby.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Teddy needs a good hours walk daily and companionship.
Hens need to fed and watered daily. Property is rural, own car ideal, but local link bus passes gate.
Can I bring my own pets?
No, sorry.

Great stay in Irish countryside
I stayed with them for a couple of days only. They are very friendly and forthcoming. The communication was good and clear. All answers were given within a short amount of time. The dog is a sweetheart, and the chicken are just too funny. The house is in a very quiet and rural area. There is not much to do other than enjoy the silence and nature. Neighbors are super friendly and helpful. Loved sitting for them, would definitely recommend!

Rural Irish Retreat
I really enjoyed looking after Teddy the dog and the chickens for this family in rural Ireland. Teddy’s owners provided plenty information and their home and surroundings were really comfortable. It was lovely walking the dog and also interacting with the hens. It was also a joy to eat their fresh eggs! I highly recommend this house sitting experience.

Rural gem on the Emerald Isle
It was a wonderful sit. The whole family and their relatives were warm and welcoming. Teddy, the dog, was a delight and I enjoyed meeting neighbors on our walks. It was fun to watch the chickens and eat fresh eggs. The family suggested several local sights including Limerick, Kilmallock, an ancient stone circle, and a heritage trail through a village decimated by the potato famine. A small rental car would be useful to drive on narrow rural roads.

Beautiful house and amazing dog
Me and my family had an amazing time at this old style house minding one of the best behaved and friendliest dogs I've ever met! Very comfortable with turf/wood stove , cosy beds, nice kitchen and amazing shower. The area is also very scenic for walks with the dog plus has many beaches a short drive away. Kathleen was very good with house/dog information or help we needed and everything went very smoothly for the entire stay. Highly recommend, really the dog is the best!

A retreat in a home away from home
We loved our time in Kathleen and her families home, caring for their home and looking after Teddy, the rabbits and hens for a week. We completely agree with Anna's review. This was a great opportunity to immerse ourselves in nature and enjoy the beautiful garden, animals and surrounding area. Teddy is a friendly loveable good natured dog and guided us on daily walks which are numerous in the area - it was straightforward looking after the other animals, who we also enjoyed. Kathleen provided us with detailed guidance which helped us meet their daily needs. We loved this housesit.

A wonderful quiet place
I house sat for Kathleen and family for the Easter holiday and had a peaceful and enjoyable time. Their rural home gave me a break from the city and their animals are easy-care and nice to look after. Teddy, the dog, is one of my all-time favourite dogs out of the many I've looked after, he's beautiful, calm but lively and friendly, very good company, I enjoyed long walks with Teddy in the Irish weather, and he kept me company to watch films as well. The rabbits and chickens are good natured and easy to tend to. It was a good Easter, the neighbours are friendly and helpful but the house is private and secure in its own grounds and has wifi and Netflix and everything you need, there are endless walks and bike rides in miles of peaceful countryside nearby and the nearest shop is only 3km away.
