House with animals and vegetables garden in the Périgord near Monpazier and Belves

About this assignment

We are looking for someone resourceful who can take care of our animals as well as the organic vegetable garden. Someone responsible, clean and organised would be perfect!

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

- feed and bring water to the dog, ducks, hens, sheep
We have 6 sheep with their lambs. They are very friendly. We have them as lawn mowers and pets. We have farmer friends 5 minutes away to help you in case of any trouble or emergency. It is not professional and it doesn't normally take longer than taking care of a dog. The worse that can happen is having to deal with sheep that jump the electric fence, and be able to put them back in the field ( by attracting them with seeds). We will show how to do and experience it together.

- water and recolt vegetable garden as well as a bit of weeding.

What are the good features of the property and location

House with 1,6 hectares of land in the country side. quiet, many nice walks.
Located in the Perigord noir, 15 minutes to the River Dordogne and many nice medieval villages : Monpazier, Belves, Villereal, Molieres. 45 minutes from the aeroport Bergerac and 2;30h from Bordeaux. A comfortable house with two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

The house sitters need to have former experience with animals and organic vegetable garden.
Anyway we will show and explain how to deal with all situations before leaving. A few days together would be the best.

Can I bring my own pets?
