About this assignment
We are looking for a pet/house sitter from march 16th to march 22th we are looking for A responsible man, women or couple who can take care of our little Daisy dog, she is very very very sweet and has a very very very high level of kuddling....she is easy going, she is 11 years and loves to sleep and wants to hug atleast all day !!. Then we have 2 parakeets Coco and Chico, who loves to talk to you in their own way!! And there is Telly, she is a little sweetheart inimini hamster who doesn't need much of attention as long as she has her food and water she will be ok.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Walking the dog, feed and nurser the other pets.
Just keep it a little bit clean :-)
Water the plants, the plants also need a little bit of tlc ;-)
The garbage on the street when needed
Getting the mail down the mailbox in the street, otherwise it will get to full.....THATS ITT!! ;-)
What are the good features of the property and location
We have a Wonder full location for walking beautiful tracks alone [or with the dog when it is not so hot], really a lot of trails and parcs around the area, we also have a lot of great national parks nearby, they are worth a walk!! Nearby museums, harbor, nearby also is Washington DC, Baltimore, Ellicot-City, a very old little town, Philadelphia and Annapolis and so much more, New York is about a 2,5 to 3 hour drive, we have a wonderful nature here in MD and our neighborhood is perfect, almost to good to be true...but it is really true.....safe and very very neat! We really do love it here, it is very quit and the neighborhood is serieus very safe!! We all look out for each other, and that also gives you a safe feeling.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
You really Need to know that our little Daisy is very attached to you when she gets to know you, she loves to hug eat and have snacks!
And if she really likes you, she will sleep next to you when she gets the chance!!

Caring for Daisy in River Hill
We were delighted to have been invited by Joanna, Xander and Robin to house and pet sit for them. They are a very friendly and warm family and they made us feel very welcome in their home. Joanna and Xander picked us up from the airport and showed us around the surrounding area and where to locate the supermarket, they also made suggestions as to where we could go to explore the surrounding area during our stay. Joanna prepared a delicious meal for us when we arrived and they very kindly let us use one of their cars. Joanna was always quick to respond to any questions we had during her absence. Daisy, the dog, is super friendly and well behaved. She loves to go for walks and get very excited. The two parakeets are easy to care for... just make sure that they have food and fresh water daily and they are fine. The hamster is very elusive and was rarely seen but once again just make sure that she has food and clean water daily. The house is very comfortable with all the amenities and is in a very safe area with lots of interesting paths through the forest where you can take Daisy for a walk and enjoy the outdoors. One morning we saw some wild deer and there are also lots of rabbits. We had a most enjoyable time during our stay in River Hill and thank Joanna, Xander and their son Robin for giving us this great opportunity to care for their pets and enjoy living in their home. What a wonderful time in suburban Maryland!
I had the good fortune to spend 2 and a half weeks with Elvis (a big Dogue de Bordeaux, look it up!) and his older sisfur Daisy, a Havanese. And Coco the parakeet in the kitchen (in a cage). Joanna and Xander are very gracious and generous hosts who made sure I had everything I would need, and then extra. Their home is spacious with all modern amenities you may want. The house has a wrap-around porch, front lawn, fenced back yard for the dogs to run and play ball, a deck overlooking the back yard, and a really lovely sunroom with screened windows to 3 sides, also overlooking the fenced back yard. To the back the yard bordered to a forest area, so there are no neighbors in the back. It's quiet there and safe. The neighborhood is very quiet with no through traffic at all, only people who live there come and go. Almost no cars passing day or night. Did I mention it's quiet here? The dogs are both lovely. Daisy is a little mischievous girl (so cute when she looks at you with a side eye), and Elvis is a young (2yo) goof who wants to play ball all day. If you have the chance to sit for Joanna and Xander, do it! You will love it here. I will certainly come back if reinvited.
