About this assignment
We are looking for a sitter(s) (preferably a non-smoker) who is clean, tidy, will be respectful of our home and will take care of our dog like she is their own.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
The sitter(s) will need to care for our dog, Katie, including feeding, walking, and playing with her. Katie is an incredibly affectionate, loyal and playful dog. She is energetic and needs mental and physical exercise every day! The sitter(s) will also need to water our indoor and outdoor plants.
What are the good features of the property and location
Our house is a 3 bed/2 bathroom home with an open floor plan and excellent wifi. The neighborhood is exceptional; great neighbors in what is a warm and welcoming community. We are located 3 blocks from the park and within walking distance of several restaurants and breweries. We are a 10-minute drive from downtown and midtown Sacramento, which has plenty of restaurants, museums, and summer events. The American and Sacramento rivers are close by and we are within 30 minutes of Folsom Lake, 2 hours from the beach, and 3 hours from Lake Tahoe.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Please consider that our dog is 55lbs and she is occasionally reactive on the leash with other dogs (as she just wants to play). The house sitter is ideally confident with dogs.

Ideal Sacramento housesit, Always fun!
Tammi and I have house/pet sat for Jordan, Eddy and Katie several times over the past couple of years anywhere between just a couple of days to a month at a time. Their home is always clean, comfortable, and full of gorgeous plants. They are easy to communicate with and always available. Katie loves walks around the neighborhood, and she has a favorite park nearby. She is also content to play ball in the back yard and cuddle up with you on the sofa-or-not, totally your call, she’s good either way. Katie does have a lot of energy but is not high maintenance. You must like dogs for this housesit and you will not be disappointed. There is plenty to do in the Sacramento area. Great restaurants to choose from or you can cook your own meals in their modern, very well apportioned, kitchen. Stream movies with their high-speed internet and relax in the back yard. It’s always a pleasure to housesit and watch Katie when we are available.
