House/ cat sitter needed 24 - 31 October (or a few days longer, by arrangement)

About this assignment

Someone who is reliable, tidy, loves cats, and can happily take care of them. Our home is in a quiet country setting, 4km from Bantry town.

While we have someone to feed the cats up until the 28th of October, we would welcome a sitter arriving anytime between the Wednesday the 23rd and Monday the 28th. Our neighbour will happily orient you on the cat feeding duties!

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Feed cats morning and evening, keep their water bowl clean and filled. Water some outdoor plants in the polytunnel just once during the week. Keep place tidy and clean up before you leave.

What are the good features of the property and location

Nestled into 3 acres of partially wooded land, my home has a mature pond, meadow and lots of beautiful trees. It's beautifully quiet, and there is a cottage directly beside the house which is rented out on a long term basis, to a lovely woman and her son. The home has double glazing, all mod cons, TV, wifi, laundry room, stove, central heating, etc. Only 4 kms from Bantry and close to a beautiful small river which is lovely to walk by/ picnic at.
Leeks and spinach are available to harvest in the polytunnel, if desired.!

PS we have one security camera in our kitchen, not elsewhere.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Should have their own car to get into town for groceries. The lane up to the house is a bit rough, but we manage to drive our regular sedan car up and down it by staying to one side of the grass median! The house is in a countryside location, so it's ideal for someone wanting a quiet retreat.
