3.5 Weeks this Winter in a beautiful San Jose (San Francisco) Bay Area house with amazing doggy

About this assignment

We are heading out of town, and need somebody to take care of our home and doggy for a few weeks. We're looking for responsible non-smokers who have experience living with dogs. We prefer somebody with their own vehicle.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Our house is easy to maintain. We have a gardener that cares for the lawn and plants. Our dog is also fairly low maintenance. She is a 16 year old mini-australian shepherd - 40 lbs of pure joy. She has her own doggy door and an automatic dog feeder. She loves walks, but is older and doesn't have the same energy she once did.

What are the good features of the property and location

Our 1800 square foot 2 bedroom 2 bathroom house is beautiful. We have all of the best amenities - renovated kitchen, renovated bathroom, and 70" tv with surround sound. A home office with Apple computer, a workout room (with ballet bar and weights), laundry room, detached garage, and a bonus tv room. We have high speed internet with wifi, and an outdoor patio. We're located in an convenient location. We're in the heart of Silicon Valley, great for meeting entrepreneurs and tech startups. About 45 minutes from San Francisco, and a short drive to Santa Cruz, Berkeley, and Napa Valley.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Public transportation is a bit tough to get to from our house, although we are very close to the grocery store, mall, parks, and bar/restaurant areas. We are about a mile and a half from the closest train station (which will take you to San Francisco).
