We feed the wild birds everyday so topping up the feeders would be appreciated.
Experienced animal lovers a must. Reliable, trustworthy and mature person or couple with common sense and initiative. Friendly and kind, clean and tidy applicants please.
Love and care for our 11 month old new large rescue dog Bo, who is still learning but very friendly; Teddy our little chorkie, full of personality and loves everyone; our 12 year old cat Sugar; and finally, our barn cat Junior. Water my plants if needed.
Our home is spacious, comfortable and has central heating. There is a large garden with outdoor furniture in the porch area. There are lovely views over the countryside, and the midi Pyrenees. There are two small market towns within 5 kms. Lots of lovely walks, local markets, cafes and restaurants. Spain is an easy day out as are the wonderful Pyrenees mountains. There is high speed WiFi, excellent choice of tv, Netflix and Prime. If you would enjoy peace and quiet, a rural location that is not isolated but with all the mod cons, this could be for you.
Our sit will suit people looking for a quiet and peaceful break. Non smokers please. We will lend our car to suitable applicants. We can collect applicants from Toulouse or Lourdes airport or train and bus stations. You need experience with large dogs, preferably rescued ones. Bo has missed the early socialisation months whilst he was in a refuge but he is very gentle and maybe a little nervous initially. Teddy, is extremely sociable and loves everyone and everything and sleeps on the bed. He loves to go everywhere with you in the car.
Who knows what weather you can get here these days, you could be eating Christmas lunch in the garden or you could have snow!
No, sorry.

Such a Peaceful home and Lovely Animals!
My husband and I truly enjoyed our two week stay at Jenny and Neil's house. Talk about a peaceful location with beautiful scenery! It was just lovely, especially in the spring. Jenny and Neil were so great with communication! They were helpful with our transportation and the loan of their car made a huge difference because the area is quite secluded. The house is a comfortable old farmhouse, with all the quirks that entails. But we were super comfortable and slept so well in the country air! The biggest joy was taking care of the animals. Junior the barn cat was a bit stand-offish but eventually warmed up. Sugar the house cat was darling (though she got a little carried away bringing us "presents" from the outdoors! That stopped once we put a bell collar on her.) By far our favorite was sweet, adorable, loving little Teddy. What a darling dog! He is so affectionate and obedient, we took him everywhere. If you don't mind seclusion and are looking for a nice break from the hustle and bustle, I highly recommend this sit!

We loved this house sit
We absolutely loved this sit. The house is a beautiful well kept house with many comforts. The internet worked great and there were two TV's and cable for our use. The animals are very easy to care for. The two dogs are friendly, very obedient and love to walk or just go out in the yard. The cats are wonderful. The house is an amazingly beautiful location--the foothills of the Pyrenees. There are local markets daily, great hikes, wonderful small towns. Jenny and Neil left an abundance of information on the area and lots of support info as well. We would love to sit for them again. This was one of my favorite house sits... a generous and kind couple and lovely , easy pets to care for.

We couldn’t have asked for a better house/ pet sit
It was an absolute pleasure to look after Jenny & Neil’s house and pets. They are lovely people who went out of their way to ensure that we enjoyed the experience. This included the use of a car for travelling around. Their farmhouse is lovely, set in the hills above two small towns with easy access to the supermarkets, restaurants etc. Everything necessary for our stay was there- excellent, fully equipped kitchen, large comfortable lounge and bedroom. Their dogs Rasta and Teddy were sweet and very easy to look after -though be aware that Rasta is a big boy ( but really, really soft!). Sugar, their cat loves attention (when she is ready!) and Junior the barn cat, is friendly but a little shy. From Jenny and Neil’s home it is possible to make trips to Lourdes, the Pyrenees and to some delightful towns. Teddy will want to go with you! They have prepared extensive instructions (maps, brochures, recommendations) about the home and excursions to help you. All in all, we couldn’t have wished for better owners, great people whom it was lovely to meet and get to know. They really took great time and effort in making our first sit a wonderful experience. We hope to return there very soon. Danka & Roy
