Looking for someone reliable and self confident. This property is somewhat remote (1.5 miles from the highway). Someone that can adapt to evolving conditions. There is a preference for a longer sit.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Being Present. The dates are actually very flexible. The property has been for sale for almost a year. Someone is needed to keep an eye on the property when I am not there. Animal care depends on the current occupant. There is a duck pond(6 ducks) and fish (tilapia and catfish), a Pyrenees, and a goat. The current occupant may take some of the animals, and the goat will likely not remain. There will be some some watering of plants needed too. If a sitter enjoys handyman or construction work there could be opportunity to supplement their income.

What are the good features of the property and location

It's a very interesting property. It consists of 80 acres with approximately 10,000 sq ft of indoor space. It attracts a lot of wildlife desert quail, roadrunners, fox, owls and hawks. Plenty of room to stretch out. 130 date palms that produce dates. Runs on solar power during the day. There is room to entertain family or guests overnight for longer staying people. There would also be opportunity to take time for travel for longer commitments. This will be a continuing need situation so start and end dates are very flexible.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

There are no immediate neighbors. The closest grocery store is 30 min away. The closest hospital is probably an hour away. Amazon and fed ex deliver, but doordash isn't a thing
