Can you look after our stunning home in rural Spain?

About this assignment

Charlotte and I have a position for a mature couple. Our home in Spain will be vacant for the next 12 months (maybe more) while we pursue other interests. Our house is in the Countryside of Andalucia, Southern Spain, near the town of Coin and about 35 minutes from Malaga or Marbella.


We need a couple with gardening experience and who are practical problem solvers as well.
The pool needs regular cleaning and the garden needs weeding and strimming in the orchard in the spring.


We are looking for someone to start mid to late April.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

It has a large orchard with numerous fruit trees, a lawn, flower beds and a swimming pool. It is quite a job to keep on top of everything, but well worth the effort.

We also have a cat (Ebano) that lives inside and out.

What are the good features of the property and location

The house is in the country (the Campo) and is 10 minutes to the nearest town by car. The area is extremely quiet apart from an occasional dog barking and is the most tranquil place I have ever lived.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Charlotte and I are travellers and are currently driving around the world. (sommertravelling). We will want to come home occasionally and may need to come home at short notice should we have a problem. Apart from that, we would want to come home for a month a year until we are done with our trip in 1 or 2 years' time.

Can I bring my own pets?

Yes
Restrictions: No dogs as the cat would freak out!
