House sitter for 2 adorable Dachshunds in historic New Bern, NC

About this assignment

We are looking for a couple, preferably retired to care for our two Dachshunds. Sweet pea is 10 and Rufus is 14.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Our sitter responsibilities will be to care for our fur babies, collect the mail from the mailbox and take garbage cans to the street on pickup day. Water our indoor plants.

What are the good features of the property and location

We are in a semi-retirement community complete with a golf course, clubhouse, tennis courts and swimming pool. Our back deck overlooks the golf course and is equipped with a gas and charcoal grill and bar. There is shopping less than a mile away and about 5 miles from downtown New Bern where there are restaurants, bars and entertainment etc and overlooks the Neuse and Trent rivers..

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Sitters will have to provide their own transportation. We are only 25 miles from the beach and 2 hours away from Raleigh. We have no cats or other animals to care for, just two dogs. Sweet Pea is an English Creme, long haired Dachshund and is 10 years old and Rufus is a small Dachshund mix who is about 14 years old. Sweet Pea has a vision issue but navigates around the house with no problem. Their feeding time begins between 6:00 a.m - 6:30 a.m. with four other potty breaks.
