Two cats, Twenty minutes from downtown DC

About this assignment

We're looking for someone to spend evenings and mornings with our cats. Our older cat will mostly keep to herself except for the hour or two in the morning where she wants to be fed. The younger one thrives on cuddles and will happily walk on a leash in the backyard if you're up for that kind of thing.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The only real responsibilities are to make sure the cats are fed, that they have fresh water, and that their litter is clean. Beyond that, the house doesn't really need much. Bring in the mail every day or so and keep the place as clean as you find it.

What are the good features of the property and location

Our home backs up to the wooded part of a public park with plenty of activities and a weekly farmers market. We're also 20 minutes from downtown Washington DC with all the museums, arts, and culture you can imagine.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

The only potential "considerations" have to do with the cats. One of them is old and very set in her ways. Most of the time she sleeps. Occasionally she cuddles, but she's got aches and pains. Sometimes she lashes out, even at the people she loves.
