One or two responsible people who love cats and want to spend some time in Madrid (city) over the holidays (Christmas through New Year's Day).
Look after the cats and plants in the house and on the balcony. There is an automatic feeder for dry food, but we give them one can of food each day also, and their litter needs to be scooped regularly.
This is a modern, small apartment with two balconies and it is very easy to get into the heart of downtown Madrid from here on public transportation (metro or bus). The neighborhood is safe; lots of small traditional shops, cafés/bars and two parks within walking distance. There is also a direct train line to the mountains near Madrid, and with the automatic feeder for the cats you can definitely be away for a whole day and maybe even overnight. The street is quiet.
Madrid is very lively during the holidays! The apartment is on the second floor with no lift (though the stairs are not steep). The cats are young (18 months old) and very playful. They are a little shy at first, but they have gotten used to cat-sitters before. You could arrive on Dec. 24 or 25, and we will be back the morning of January 2nd.
No, sorry.

Great sit in Madrid
We did a sit for Debbie in Madrid for approximately 18 nights, in July-August, ending AM 9th August. The cats were funny, the female a little standoffish, but Drac, the male, was very friendly after a couple of days. Her apartments is only a few minutes walk to 2 metro stations, which was very handy for getting into Madrid, and even less to supermarkets and other shopping. It was also right above a bar, where we stopped regularly. But it wasn't noisy, which was great. There were plenty of places within minutes for eating. We loved her little apartment. However, the area is not really suitable for car parking. We were in touch with Debbie regularly, and I cannot remember any problems arising. (Sorry, other info is on my WhatsApp and I currently cannot access it). We would recommend Debbies sit to prospective sitters. And Debbie, sorry for the delay.
