About this assignment

Hello, we have a beautiful home in the quiet costal village of Aticama, about 90 min from Puerto Vallarta (PVR airport). It is safe and serene, the food and scenery is stunning, and we love living there. We will be in the U.S. for the late spring, summer, and early fall. We are looking for a house sitter for about six months, dates are flexible.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

There is a main house with two beds / two baths and a stunning large open concept floor with the kitchen, dining, and living rooms. There is also a guest suite over the garage, with a full kitchen and en suite bathroom. There is about an acre of tropical garden and private pool, as well as a garage and private parking. We will ask for your assistance maintaining the whole property, including the garden, pool, utility systems, and helping to manage the workers we have at the house from time to time.

What are the good features of the property and location

This is the most beautiful coast in the world. We just love it up on our hill, overlooking the gorgeous bay of san blas. The fruit is unparalleled, as is the seafood, and the pace of life is so peaceful. It is a true haven. There is incredible bird watching and waterfalls nearby, and huge beaches and beautiful lagoons. For nature lovers it is a dream. For those who need to get to the city or travel from time to time, the major city of Puerto Vallarta is less than 90 min by car, and we can leave our vehicle for you to use. Tepic is only 45 minutes, which has many benefits of city life as well.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Aticama is an incredible place, safe and easy, though it is rural Mexico and it would be ideal if guests speak some Spanish. It is very quiet, and there are restaurants and markets. The house is also situated on a high hill, with stairs throughout inside and outside. It makes for an amazing views, but would not really be suitable for those with mobility challenges.

Can I bring my own pets?

No, sorry.
