Quiet home near the mountains needing dogs and house sitting

About this assignment

Reliable person who is respectful of my home and confident with my two dogs. Able to communicate with neighbor when they need assistance (neighbor willing to come help walk the dogs). Dogs have a doggy door to a fenced back yard but are also used to daily 45min walks in the neighborhood. Person who is able to physically hold the leash and control my German Sheperd who gets excited around small animals (squirrels, cats, dogs etc). We do have cats roaming the neighborhood, they don't bother people but my dog is too interested in her. She is strong but will listen to confident people. Very food driven, treats help! Looking for someone to take care of my animals like they are your own.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Feed the dogs twice a day, spend most nights at the house to give them company, play ball with the one dog and pet the other dog!

If you open the fence to the back yard, make sure to close it so the dogs don't get out.

Otherwise, just treat my home with respect, recognize we live on a septic tank and don't have a garbage disposal. Use of the firepit in the backyard requires additional safety discussion before use. Make sure to turn off lights when not in the house, pretty typical things. I'm really just looking for companionship and dog walking for my dogs.

What are the good features of the property and location

My home is in a small town near the mountains. It's quiet with a backyard full of trees and a creek down hill (hill is too steep to walk down to the creek, please do not try it). It's peaceful and beautfil and close to creeks, waterfalls, mountains, and a ski resort not far away (usually opens November - March). Typical modern home - wifi, flatscreen tv (netflex, amazon prime, disney etc), full kitchen, one bed room step for a home office with a standing desk.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Please consider if you can walk two dogs. Usually our neighbor is available and likes to go for walks so not an issue that will likely happen. We have an average energy German Shepard and a medium/low energy lab mix. They are not hard to take care off by they are about 65# and 80-90# dogs.

Also please consider the dates you are available. We are looking for the whole time period ideally but could work with a portion of the time if necessary. We will be out of the country during this time and not easily accessible.
