Woodland summer escape with two dogs

About this assignment

Someone to look after our two dogs, Pip (10 yr old cocker x kelpie) and Pocket (9 yr old cocker), and to do a little gardening. The dogs are people dogs used to having company, but can be left for a few hours. We have a half-acre plot with allotment and polytunnel. We'd like someone who can keep the summer growth at bay and perhaps get some vegetables going whilst we are away. We are open to discussions with sitters that can only sit for part of the duration, but at a minimum we're looking for a months commitment.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The dogs will need walking and feeding twice a day.
They are fed a raw food diet.
Garden work would include mowing, strimming and vegetable cultivating.
We have an honesty stand out the front of the house where we sell our honey. This would need to be kept stocked.
No beekeeping is needed, the hives are self contained at the end of the garden.

What are the good features of the property and location

We live in a 2 bed bungalow surrounded by woodland on the outskirts of Dartmoor. You can walk onto the moor and access beautiful river walks and wild swimming spots, or walk a mile into the characterful market town of Tavistock. Tavistock has all the amenities you need from local markets and family run businesses to supermarkets and a hospital.
We have a home office for those sitters needing to work during their stay.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Taking care of our dogs is the priority, they are friendly dogs but do need companionship so this is not an opportunity for someone who is planning to be out of the house a lot.
We are open to discussions with sitters that can only sit for part of the duration, but at a minimum we're looking for a months commitment.
