About this assignment

We are looking for a couple as it's easier when walking the pups. Someone who has been background checked and has reviews. Reliable and good communicator.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

To take care of our home and be a companion to our loving Murphy and Peaches. We acquired Murphy in Feb. of 2021. He is the smartest dog we have ever owned. He's loving and likes to go for an early morning walk in the neighborhood for an hour. Easy walker. He gets fed twice a day and no meds needed. He will most likely sleep downstairs in our bedroom on his bed. He is a very easy dog to take care of. Peaches is adorable and very loving. She loves to play with her brother Murphy. She gives lots of kisses. She gets one allergy pill in the mornings in peanut butter. Takes easily. We ask that they get at least 1 walk in the mornings in the neighborhood for about an hour (30 minutes out here goes fast and then we turn around). And wonderful if they got one for 40 min's at the end of the day. We'll give suggestions for where. Beautiful areas to walk. They get fed twice a day. We have 1 indoor water fountain and 1 outdoors that need topping off every few days. We would love to meet you and show you around a day before if possible. December is a wonderful time to be in Arizona! We have made friends through THs! (please note: Absolutely no smoking or drugs of any kind anywhere on the property) Please note if you decide to walk from the house to the road below, it's very steep and a real work out to get back up. We do it but feel we should disclose this.

What are the good features of the property and location

We are fortunate to have a large beautiful home in the Sonoran Desert. The Tonto National Forest is an incredible area. We are 30 mins from Sky Harbor Airport. 30 minutes from Old Town Scottsdale and 12 minutes from Fountain Hills, AZ. Sitting on 10 acres, there are endless miles of walking in our neighborhood and an abundance of wildlife. Truly incredible views from the home.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

It's over this Christmas Holiday. Only the couple should be in the home. We ask for 2 walks a day. One in the morning...about a half hour each way. And a shorter one in the evening. We have a very steep driveway but we use it for a workout. Our home is gated and secure. You will be on the top of a 10 acre property with views to die for. Not childproof and no other pets allowed.

After five house sits for Sharon and Chris, it is hard to say anything new that hasn’t been said before except we absolutely love taking care of their home and pets. This time we were is Arizona where we really enjoyed taking Murphy and Peaches for walks in the peaceful rural hills. Their home is so comfortable and well equipped to meet all your needs including a breathtaking view of the mountains. Sharon and Chris are kind, caring and very generous folks. Should you get the chance to house sit for them, you are very lucky indeed. That’s how we feel about all our experiences and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.
