About this assignment
We are looking for house sitter(s) who will appreciate the beauty of this barn conversion and will enjoy spending time at home with the dogs.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
We have 8 ducks, 10 chickens and two Saluki dogs all needing TLC. Including daily walks for the dogs. Enjoy cooking on an aga and caring for the house plants.
What are the good features of the property and location
Rural farm house with spectacular views of surrounding countryside in the Peak District. Walks in every direction from the front door, to nearby wood, lake, river and hills. The village of Youlgreave is 15 mins walk away.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Four bedroom house with underfloor heating. Wood burning stove, wood supplied. Bus service to nearby village. Nearest town, Bakewell 3 miles away. Your own transport clearly an advantage.
Can I bring my own pets?

Lovely house and critters...
We have sat for Iris and Pete many times over the past 10 years enjoying every occasion and have become firm friends. The ducks and chickens are a delight and very easy to care for. It was a pleasure to spend time with Poppy and Bella who have now, sadly, passed. Mother and daughter Saluki sassy Sadie and mischievous Maisie will continue to keep any sitters company and entertained. They are quite the pair and very affectionate. The house is spacious, light, warm and comfortable in a glorious position overlooking the beautiful Derbyshire countryside and the village of Youlgrave. You could not wish for better hosts than Iris and Pete. Who have made us so welcome over the years. You will have everything to make your stay worry free and memorable. The close neighbours are very friendly and helpful. Their are some lovely villages and towns within easy reach by foot, car or public transport. The walking is fabulous. Would definitely recommend this sit.
