Tidy and responsible pet lover who understands how to attend to animals with kindness and loves to walk the dogs in nature; someone who knows how to communicate well and can live quietly, respectfully with peace in our lovely neighborhood.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Standard house upkeep/security, walk dogs, feed and water animals daily, collect mail. The house has weekly landscaping service no upkeep necessary except for picking up and disposing of the dog waste, preferably every 2-3 days.

What are the good features of the property and location

We are centrally located near downtown Chico, the weekly farmer's market, CSU Chico, the community library, lots of shopping and Bidwell Park. The house is located in a highly desirable and quiet neighborhood, complete with a rose garden, private back yard and in-ground swimming pool. The house is a nice mid-century modern design with lots of light, with multiple indoor and outdoor spaces to relax.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Ability to complete 30+ minute walks for two dogs, daily. Flexibility in the length of the stay, should we need to return to the property sooner than expected. Potential sitters need to be comfortable using Whatsapp via phone or other device to communicate with us while we are overseas. We can split up the sit between multiple sitters if necessary.
