About this assignment

All we need is someone to stay with our two sister cats - Pearl and Topaz. They are rescued Snowshoe cats around a year old. They could most likely be ok alone, but this is the first time we're leaving since we adopted them and didn't want to leave them for such a long time. They sleep a lot, but LOVE to play with toys any time, and come around for snuggles at night and in the morning.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Just feeding the cats and scooping the litter boxes, and playing with and snuggling the kitties! That's really all there is to it! Otherwise keeping the house locked up when you're not here.

What are the good features of the property and location

We just moved from Wisconsin and LOVE it here. The property itself has an amazing pool, hottub, fireplace and grilling area, an exercise facility, off-street parking, and is very secure. The apartment has wifi, a desk area with a 2nd monitor, 2 bedrooms that can sleep 4 (one Queen and 2 twin beds), 2 bathrooms, and in-unit laundry. The best, however, is our location! We are right on the main street in Old Town Monrovia - tons of shops, restaurants, grocery stores and more are literally blocks away, with a street market every Friday night. We are also about a mile from hiking trails into the mountains - I highly recommend downloading the All Trails app if you are coming to stay and aren't familiar with the area. The weather is always amazing!

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

We would need someone who plans on being here at least once per day for the cats. It's only a 45 minute drive to the ocean or downtown LA, we would just need whoever takes the job to be here every day.
