About this assignment

Someone who has previous experience with cats, who is respectful to the neighbours, can keep the place tidy and sends cat pictures on a daily basis.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Sitter's responsibilities would be: Cuddling the cats, making sure they have food and water, playing with them, and keeping the house and garden safe, clean and tidy. No cat toilet, cause they are outdoor cats.

What are the good features of the property and location

Great location: S-bahn station close - only 3 minutes, as well as all major grocery shops (Aldi, Edeka and Denns (bio)) are reachable in about 5-15 walking minutes.? It would take you 25 minutes by train to Hauptbahnhof (main train station Munich) and 1 hour by train to the airport.
The village is surrounded by meadows, fields and woods and is therefore ideal for long walks.
The larger Bavarian lakes such as Lake Starnberg or Lake Ammersee can be reached by train in an hour.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

The apartment is available between 1 November 2025 to 26 February 2026. In winter an ideal opportunity to experience the local Christmas markets or sledging or skiing in the Alps, just 1,5 - 2 hours away. We prefer personal contact for the handover and to get to know our two cats. Please only apply if you are available for the keys handover and to explain the house and surrounding on 29 October 2025.

We would like a 50 per cent share of the monthly ancillary costs (currently €450/month for gas, water and electricity). This is an important point for us in terms of sustainability and the careful use of resources.

We will probably split our trip into two parts. When we have finished the first part of the trip, we will come back for about 3-5 days to pack for the second part of the trip.
